Mygahd. As much as I'd like to be selfish, kawawa naman majority of the population who can't even afford to pay Philhealth. Totally a broken and inhumane (sorry for the word) system.
Paying members of the Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) should receive benefits commensurate with their monthly contributions, according to Executive Secretary Ralph Recto.

I thought retiring from basketball was the end of a chapter. I didn’t realize it was the beginning of my most important one.
After 18 years of professional basketball, my family and I moved to Naga the city where my wife grew up and where we chose to build our next chapter together.
I came here hoping to find ways to give back. What I didn’t expect was how quickly this community would welcome me.
What started as a conversation about https://t.co/KFXzAB3rpT, my social impact project under the Blockchain for Good Alliance focused on disaster preparedness and flood resilience, has grown into opportunities to support grassroots sports and youth development across the Bicol Region.
Basketball gave me more than a career. It gave me purpose, discipline, and a platform to serve others. Today, that same mission continues just in a different way.
To the people of Naga and Mayor Leni, thank you for the trust. I’m honored by the opportunity to contribute, excited for the work ahead, and committed to helping create more opportunities for the next generation.
The histrionics has reached the neurons of Senator Pia Cayetano!
Walang pinagkaiba sa kapatid! Ang daming drama! Ang entitled! Ang bitter parang ampalaya!
MORE: Additional information provided to YEGWAVE by the parent states the incident involved their 14-year-old daughter and a friend near Rutherford Road and 118 Street on the evening of June 14.
According to the submission, the girls first noticed the dark grey van approaching with its side passenger door open. After passing them, the van allegedly performed a U-turn and began heading back toward them. Believing they may have been targeted, the girls turned around and ran in the opposite direction.
The parent alleges there were approximately five to six adult East Indian men inside the vehicle, estimated to be between 30 and 40 years old. Due to the fear and panic of the situation, the girls were unable to provide detailed descriptions of the occupants or clearly identify what was being yelled at them.
The submission states the van turned around multiple times and continued approaching the girls. Fearing for their safety and worried they could be forced into the vehicle, the girls began yelling for help. A nearby woman reportedly witnessed their distress and called 911. According to the parent, the van sped away after the occupants noticed the woman.
The family says they have fully cooperated with police. Officers reportedly spoke with nearby residents and obtained surveillance footage showing the vehicle and its driving behaviour. The parent says they have also gone door-to-door seeking additional video evidence. However, a licence plate has not yet been identified.
The parent says the incident has left both girls extremely distressed and frightened. They hope sharing their experience will raise awareness, encourage parents to discuss safety with their children, and help identify the vehicle and its occupants.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or may have dashcam or security footage from the area is encouraged to contact Edmonton Police.

REMEMBER👏HER 👏NAME.
The line between a legitimate legislative inquiry and a desperate political stunt has officially been crossed.

A CHEAP SHOT
Sen. Marcoleta’s attack on Sen. Risa Hontiveros that she did not know the rules because she is not a lawyer is a cheap shot, an argument from arrogance and credentialism at its worst.
One need not be a lawyer to recognize a legal issue. One need not be a doctor to recognize when a person has fever. And one need not be an engineer to recognize a bridge collapsing.
Sen. Risa Hontiveros may not be a lawyer but dismissing her argument on that basis is an attack on her credentials, not a defense of substance.
In public debate, the question is not who speaks. The question is whether what is being said is true.
If Senator Marcoleta disagreed with Senator Hontiveros, then he should answer her arguments, not her profession.
In the end, the irony was impossible to miss. Sen. Marcoleta was defeated by Sen. Sotto, a non-lawyer but knew the rules better.
That is the problem with credentialism. It confuses titles for wisdom and professions for truth.
"PARA MAKABOTO SILA, KUNG NAKAKULONG MAN SILA"
Maanghang ang naging pahayag ni Sen. Erwin Tulfo matapos magdesisyon ang mga miyembro ng Senate minority bloc na mag-walkout sa gitna ng sesyon ng Senado. | via MOJO Marymon Reyes
JOINT STATEMENT ON THE SENATE MINORITY WALKOUT
We strongly condemn what appears to be an attempt to rush a major change in the Senate Rules, especially when several members of the minority still wanted to speak and raise serious questions on the floor.
Bakit kailangang madaliin?
We walked out because what happened on the floor looked less like orderly deliberation. The proposed rule change affects how senators may attend sessions, participate in proceedings and exercise their mandate through remote means, and such a measure should be opened to healthy public debate instead of being rushed by the tyranny of the majority.
We have always welcomed healthy discussions on the floor, but this should mean allowing all members to be heard, not forcing the chamber to move at the speed preferred by the majority.
At the time the motion was taken up, there was no duly constituted Committee on Rules and there was not even an elected Majority Leader who could properly guide a rules amendment through the regular process.
How could there have been any action or discussion before the Committee on Rules when no Committee on Rules has been organized to date?
With due respect, the answer that no Senate rule had been violated does not settle the matter, because the rules cannot be treated as a matter of convenience when the very process for amending them is under serious question.
The timing raises a question that the public deserves to hear debated openly. Kaya pinili naming tumayo at iwan ang majority sa plenary. Kaya kami nagdesisyon to question the quorum and call for adjournment.
If the proposal is truly defensible, then let it pass through the proper route.
We owe it to the people who voted for us to do our mandate. This is why we want more time to discuss this further.
