Have you ever been stuck in heavy traffic where one lane seems completely frozen while the other keeps moving, especially when you're already running late for an appointment?

That was me yesterday.

After watching my lane for what felt like forever, I grew impatient and switched to what I thought was the "faster" lane. Almost immediately, the lane I had just left began to move, while the one I entered ground to a halt.

Sitting behind the wheel, a little frustrated, a thought suddenly came to mind. I began to reflect on life.

Life often feels the same way.

We spend so much time comparing our journey with everyone else's that we mistake movement for progress. We assume others have it easier, that their opportunities are better, their timing is perfect, and their lives are advancing while ours seems to be standing still.

What we fail to see is that every lane has its own delays. Every path has its own hidden obstacles. The progress you envy today may stall tomorrow, while the road you've been tempted to abandon may suddenly open up.

In that instant, I said to myself, patience is not passive. It is trusting that your time will come without constantly measuring your progress against someone else's.

So, if you are stuck in the traffic of life, stay faithful to your journey. Not every delay is a denial, and not every lane that looks faster will get you to your destination sooner.
