“ so you don’t even fucking care .ᐣ wow, tyler. go fuck yourself. 𖬺͟ fuck the dumb girl you’ve been texting. ”
hurt by the fact that he didn’t seem to care what she did, ( although she’d never admit it ) maddy extended her
he rolled his eyes in response, irritation flashing too quick to be convincing.
“you're so fucking predictable,” he said, leaning back into the couch like he hadn't just tensed the second she pulled away from him. “you know that, right?”
her shifting her leg away from his —
leg once more. this time not to lean it against his, but to use pedicured foot to kick him in his thigh. not rough, but just enough to garner a reaction out of him.
would they kill each other before the food even arrived .ᐣ possibly.
god, how she wished she could wipe that stupid fucking smirk off of his face. he was always so smug.
leg shifting away from his so they weren’t making contact anymore, petty of her .. but that’s just who she was.
throwing his phone to the side, she sat up, facing him before she spoke once more.
“ i don’t care. go fuck her for all i care. maybe i’ll go fuck the handsome guy i met at the mall the other day .. he was really fucking hot. ”
he let out a snort, then his gaze dropped and caught on his phone in her hands. great. his ongoing text thread with some blonde he'd met at a bar a week ago. tyler's mouth curled before he could stop it.
“some chick,” he said, leaning back into the couch. “what's you care?” —
@wiltedchapters “ just ‘ getting by ’ fucking sucks, doesn’t it .ᐣ i would know. ”
lips pressed to the glass of the freshly made drink, taking a sip. god knows she needed something to take the edge off.
long, manicured fingernails tapping against the bar impatiently, a subtle look at @wiltedchapters, trying to get the other’s attention.
“ god, the service sucks here. can i get a bellini please .ᐣ ”
dark brow arched, the bartender had
@wiltedchapters “ oh, no worries. i can tell you’re backed up. it’s crazy in here tonight. ”
maddy’s tone had completely changed. she’d been caught by surprise by the bartender’s kind words, even though she was being nasty herself just moments ago.
once he’d gone into the kitchen, maddy took the opportunity to snoop through his phone. she’d secretly watched him enter his passcode countless times, remembering it herself.
“ who’s brittany, mm .ᐣ ”
dark brow raised in curiosity.
the corner of his mouth pulled up. he grabbed his phone and ordered their usual. “food's coming,” he said, tossing his phone onto the couch.
then he got up, went to the fridge, and grabbed two beers. he popped the caps off on the counter, came back over, and dropped down —
getting into her car, maddy made her way over to the address jules had just sent her via text.
it would be nice to catch up. she hadn’t seen nor heard from her old friend in a while.
maddy, already expecting an invite from jules at any moment, had already begun getting dressed.
luxurious silk 𖬺͟ fur that she couldn’t even afford slipping onto her body .. but hey, she’d worry about the credit card bills later,
she woke up around 10:30 after a fucking restless night, already thinking about today before she even properly opened her eyes. by noon she’d showered, gotten dressed, set up her penthouse.
ordered fancy italian food she thought maddy +
was already out the door. locking the gate to her humble apartment, the place she called home did not match the idea of luxury she wanted the world to see when they cast their eyes upon her mink stole.
💬 kk, be there soon.
“ nerve is what it takes to make it in this industry. no one ever became successful by just sitting around 𖬺͟ waiting for their turn .. you see an opportunity 𖬺͟ you seize it. ”
maddy replied, leaving her business card on the table

“You’ve got 𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘦, I’ll give you that. Most people wait until the body's cold before they try to take the seat. But nerve is exactly what it takes to 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘮𝘦.”
[He shrugged his shoulders.]
“… Alright. I'll think about it.

“ away from everyone here .. this place sucks. ”
she sighed, her words rang true now more than ever. L.A. would be different .. a big city where no one knew who they were, new experiences, just the two of them.
“ we’d live together in
