“The definition of rape needs to be changed to include lack of consent, legal aid for women victims of violence should be mandatory, and justice actors must receive compulsory gender-based violence training,” Dilbar Turakhanova on the preliminary findings of the ongoing research.
“According to the Constitution of Tajikistan, international legal acts recognized by Tajikistan are a constituent part of the legal system. In case of disparity between national and international law, international acts apply,” highlights Patricia Schulz, @ICJ_org Commissioner.
