@NYCParks any chance this space can be repurposed? No one ever uses the gravel pit for shot put and the gravel gets scattered all over the place. People use this space for stretching or cardio classes etc. Also the long jump sand pit was meant to be sand only. Please contain.

@NYCParks can something be done about this gravel situation in Astoria park. I have never seen anyone use it for shot put. The gravel gets out of the pit and all over the place. This is prime real estate for people warming up or doing full blown workout. Many thanks.
