While the border conflict between Thailand and Cambodia has long been complex, recent actions taken by Cambodia must be examined through the lens of international law and humanitarian principles.
Thailand has always stood by peace and international law. Yet the world must not turn a blind eye to Cambodia’s repeated acts of provocation and violations of humanitarian principles:
🔺 Cambodia deployed PMN-2 anti-personnel landmines in Thai territory, targeting Thai soldiers and civilians — a clear violation of international treaties.
🔺 Cambodia initiated armed attacks first, opening fire and escalating conflict.
🔺 Cambodia committed acts that may amount to war crimes, by launching assaults on civilian homes, schools, hospitals, and community centers.
🔺 Cambodia used civilians and residential zones as human shields during attacks.
🔺 Cambodia spread false information and propaganda to distort international perception.
Thailand responds with restraint, following international law. We speak not with hatred, but with truth — because silence is not an option when innocent lives are harmed.
📌 Let the facts speak. Let justice be heard.
