You know what teachers worry about?
Seating charts
Planning lessons
Grading papers
Running to the bathroom during the 3 minute passing time.
Mediating a student dispute
Contacting parents
Being a mandated reporter
Finding a coat for a kid that needs one
Teachers are heroes.
If you remember one thing about your students this year, it is they all have the potential to be amazing. And maybe that is why they will be in your class this year!

Teachers, try to make the first interaction with your parents a positive one. We all like to be recognized for our hard work, but parents especially love to hear it about their child.
Tips for new teachers:
* Relationships 1st
* Establish routines/ expectations early
* Don't take away recess as a punishment
* Students need to move or a brain break every hour
* don't take students misbehavior personally
* Never give up on your students
* Trust yourself
If a formal observation is the first time you are in a teachers classroom, then put the evaluation form away. Just observe the greatness of your teacher, then leave a note of thanks, praise or encouragement. Relationships first!
Just because some teachers would rather stay in the classroom than go into administration doesn’t mean they aren’t strong leaders. Many have amazing talents that can benefit your school. Effective administrators value them as experts and help maximize their talents and potential.
We spend 50% more hours in school than Finland. They get 15 mins of recess every hour. They have NO standardized tests until the PISA in HS & they outperform us every time. When we can’t give students more recess, play, or Arts, but make them sit longer hours, we have it wrong!
🚨 🎖️ BREAKING In another show of international strength, Lithuania Pres. @GitanasNauseda bestowed @POTUS@JoeBiden with The Order of Vytautas the Great with the Golden Collar, the highest award that a Lithuanian President can bestow on anyone.
President Biden is the first American president to receive the award for special merits in developing the bilateral relations between the Republic of Lithuania and the United States of America, improving the political, cultural, economic, and social cooperation of the two countries.
Doesn't really fit the Republican's weakness narrative, does it?
Since the classroom teacher is more important to the success of a student than the programs, curriculum, or technology, that means teacher morale is more important than the programs, curriculum, or technology.
Public schools accept all children.
No questions asked.
Private schools select their children.
That’s why they are private.
Public tax dollars should support ONLY public schools.
Private money should pay for private schools.
Any questions?
