It’s time. I am officially retiring from Professional @GearsEsports. Over the years I got to travel all over the world and compete doing what I love. Thank you for the support through all my highs and lows. I’m blessed to have achieved all that I have. ❤️
Gears of War: E-Day - Changes I'd Like to See
Ranked & Multiplayer
Add a Solo Queue Playlist – Give solo players a dedicated Ranked playlist.
Remove Stopping Power – Completely remove stopping power from multiplayer.
Strongly Reduce Aim Assist – Significantly tone down aim assist across all weapons.
Fix Mantling – Add a mantle-cancel prompt or remove mantling entirely.
Nerf Overpowered Weapons – The Striga, Heavy Boom, Vulcan, and several other weapons are far too strong and need significant balancing adjustments.
Simplify Ranked – Consolidate Ranked into one playlist featuring only Demolition and Conquest.
Horde & PvE
Transform Horde Siege into an Extraction Shooter – At this point, fully embrace the extraction-shooter concept, similar to ARC Raiders.
Rework Horde Siege – The mode is far too repetitive and predictable. It needs significantly more variety and replayability.
Introduce an Endless Horde Mode – Add a traditional survival experience with endless waves of increasingly difficult enemies, similar to Call of Duty Zombies.
Store & Quality of Life
Fix the Store Bug – Resolve the issue preventing players from purchasing skins.
After 2016 and everything that’s happened in the 10 years since, I genuinely believe I’ll go my entire lifetime without ever seeing the Guardians win a World Series.
@_dezonide@CoalitionGears@Community_Gears Nobody who matters blames you for expressing your feelings man, Gears had a big impact on all of us. I would love to see esports come back and I hope this game can turn things around, quickly.
It couldn’t have been the horrific campaigns and forced storylines back to back? Or the lack of incentive for any type of player to play Multiplayer, or the 5 years of radio silence and no updates, or the half ass UE 2.0 they gave us, or the 7 years between titles?
This argument is just regurgitated by ignorant people every single day lol. The only way for a game to succeed is to make the game fun for causals, while having enough content to keep players coming back for years to come. Instead of defending a company who is 1/4 (excluding E-Day)
Criticize the actual problems and maybe this whole thing will turn around.
Ask yourself a simple question, is E-Day enough? Can it withstand the test of time and create a healthy player base for the next 3-7 years?
I can tell you that where PvP currently stands the answer is absolutely not. But I do believe horde can and they should build off of that.
@realunclelukke@Community_Gears@GearsofWar Yeah it's been an interesting change for me just kinda playing whenever I feel like it instead of getting on at a certain time to scrim and frantically trying to master everything asap lol. I think esports is probably done for good and it's a shame. Miss those days.
