JUST IN: The ICC Deputy Prosecutor wants former President Rodrigo Duterte to face trial for crimes against humanity, including murder, tied to killings in Davao and across the Philippines during his presidency.

In a Document Containing the Charges, prosecutors accuse Duterte of directing murders in Davao City while mayor, extending the policy to so-called “High-Value Targets” when he became president, and continuing the killings through barangay clearance operations.

The filing alleges Duterte ordered, induced, and aided these acts under the “war on drugs.”

The confirmation of charges hearing, initially set for tomorrow, has been postponed as judges assess Duterte’s health before deciding if the case will proceed to a full trial. | @TristanNodalo

as a healthcare worker, oo sobrang mulat ako kung gaano ka panget healthcare system dito sa Pinas 🙃 it’s not because hindi magagaling mga healthcare workers natin but it’s because sobrang panget ng systema!!! Imagine ang gagaling ng mga doctors, nurses, medtechs, radtechs, pharmacists, PTs, respiratory therapist & other hcw natin pero sobrang fucked up kasi kulang sa bed, sa gamit, sa gamot at magulong systema dahil kulang sa budget kasi ninanakaw nila. Imagine patients falling inline early in the morning para lang makapag pa check up, may sakit na sila at gusto lang naman nila gumaling pero bakit kelangan nila mahirapan muna para mapagamot??? Samantalang yang mga politiko na yan lilipad sa ibang bansa para makapagpa gamot. Putangina niyo talaga.
