What an absolutely amazing day yesterday hosting ‘The Ultimate Coding Course’ to a sell out audience at The Grand Hotel in Newcastle. Was a honour to present alongside the fantastic Julian S Wood @Ideas_Factory , Carol Allen @caroljallen and Steve Bunce @stevebunce who all blew the audience away with presentations and ideas of the very highest quality. There were also brilliant interactive coding workshops from Andy Husband from @TTSResources (who also donated the incredible Loti-Bot robot to each and every delegate) and Danica Chapman from @2SimpleSoftware who wowed everyone with the great range of tools available on Purple Mash for teaching coding to all pupils. Delegates left brimming with enthusiasm and ideas for developing coding and computational thinking in their own schools. This was the first time since before the pandemic that I have been able to host a large scale event like this and was lovely to see and hear the buzz and excitement in the room throughout the day. A massive thank you to TTS and 2Simple for their incredible sponsorship, without their support thr event would not have been possible. HUGE smile on my face still today after being able to facilitate this great CPD event for North East teachers. Here’s to another similar event in 2025!
