There is always a day of reckoning!
This is why we urge everyone to live with the consciousness of the future in mind. Yesterday, while I was busy putting finishing touches to my forthcoming book launch, @Mrpossidez told a story.
We go live in 8 minutes!

With distinguished @segalink as we discuss how reading influences the value of our social media engagements
This ugly trend has made those with depth be swallowed up by the avalanche of empty content that has flooded our media space. With no regulations in sight, what does this hold for us as a nation? Join us this Wednesday at #EdoBookShelf with @segalink
The reading culture of a people can be evaluated by the quality of their social media content and the value of their social media engagements. Unfortunately, we have raised a herd of gossip lovers who gladly reference "dem say-dem say" as their sources.. #EBS
@EfeEfosa Congratulations. We owe the next generation this investment by documenting our thoughts in books, podcasts, etc. By all means, we must not fail to transfer what we have learnt and believe to the next generation. What they do with it is up to them. #Posterity
In quest of flowing with the wind (trends), many have lost their essence. Even when they use the "5 mins" per day to think about themselves, they just can't remember where they were before they lost their original being! #originalcharacter
This reminds me of Covey's book, 'The Speed of Trust'. In the book, the author analysed how nations with fewer trust issues fare better. We can't emphasise d damage mistrust does 2nations. Policy-making &enforcement suffer terribly in Naija because of this.
Truth or Collapse: Lessons Nigeria Must Learn
History warns us: when truth is neglected, nations bleed trust. Two examples: one from America and one from Nigeria, make this clear.
In the United States, the infamous Tuskegee Syphilis Study (1932–1972) denied hundreds of African American men proper treatment. Doctors lied, even after penicillin was available. Men died, families suffered, and children were born with disease—all because the truth was hidden. The deeper wound? Generations of distrust in medical institutions, a scar that still lingers.
Fast-forward to Nigeria. Billions were poured into the Niger Delta cleanup under Hyprep. Promises of restored land and safe water were loud, but reality was silence. Contractors lacked expertise, labs were under-equipped, audits were blocked, and political interests took precedence. The result: poisoned land, lost livelihoods, broken promises. Once again, truth was neglected—and trust crumbled.
Both stories carry the same moral: without truth, institutions lose legitimacy, communities lose hope, and progress becomes a mirage. Nigeria, a nation blessed with diversity and resources, must decide—continue masking failures, or embrace truth as the bedrock of governance. Transparency, accountability, and honesty are not luxuries; they are the lifeline of national unity.
If we want Nigeria’s diversity to be strength and not division, we must learn from Tuskegee and Hyprep: lies may buy time, but only truth builds nations.
I have long accepted my fate and developed a love for cartoons. My favourite is Curious George. But my girl has gotten used to all the episodes, and the new trend doesn't interest me. But what would a lovely Daddy do? We stay put. #fatherhood
I no longer have freedom in my house.
Lol, I dare you to change the TV station.
In the house, I pay rent, pay school fees, hustle for food, and even help them keel cockroaches, ants and any fly.
The cartoon isn’t the issue. My issue is that I was mandated to watch and dance with them.
Somehow, I am beginning to enjoy watching cartoons 😩.
How many of us are facing this in our homes? We need to have a meeting and make a plan.
Justice for all dads!
It's 30th June, 2024. He has kept me to the 1st half of the year. His grace has been more than enough for me in the last 6 months. I can't wait to continue with Him in the 2nd half. #JesusLovesYou
Life tip: When you sign up for anything online, put the website’s name as your middle name. That way when you receive spam/advert emails, you will know who sold your info.
Whether you realise it early or late in life, if God is merciful to you, there will come to a time in your life when you will realise that you need God more than anything else. But until then, you are free to argue it. #JesusIsComing again!
We must be very careful in choosing who we form alliances with as it goes a long way to affect our credibility especially when one or more of our alliances has credibility issues. It will rub off on you. Birds of a feather, they say flock together. #fact
Most Nigerians are hypocrites, we only cry foul when we are at the receiving end of the evil. When it benefits us, we turn blind eyes and deaf ears. Distinguished, we will keep hoping that things will change.
Children of perdition and agent of darkness will either use bigotry or identity politics of difference to target their victims.
Record will show that there has never been a time that I have encouraged this. Not in 2015, 2019, 2023 and it will not begin today.
What is wrong is wrong regardless of who is doing it and it doesn’t matter who it is against. We can’t build a nation with division and hatred. 🍃
When my younger sister got admitted into the Uni, my elder brother was pampering her. I was uncomfortable with it considering how we all went to Uni. He later explained to me that you cannot tell a lady to be decent and not cater for her basic needs. #responsibleparenting
I dont mean to come out too strong but please hear me out.... this should serve as a lesson to young ladies... if this didnt go the way it has gone, they would be on the internet telling people that they are above their pay grade especially broke shaming men. Its sad this happened to them and my heart bleeds but those who have gone down this path or planning to should know life is precious and you owe it to yourself to be cautious and live right. Everyone is setting up cameras this days and talking about highest bidders before they even begin a proper relationship with you..actions have consequences and you have to stop putting yourselves in harm's way and be contented with what you have. Families should also pay attention to the needs of their siblings... most of you are out there spending on your girlfriends only and neglecting your sisters, we all need all hands on deck to prevent these ugly scenerios where they have to resort to runs as means of survival. Check up on your family and help them live right. Parents watch your kids and educate them on certain things that should help them live right and this applies to male and female kids. Its becoming worse everyday...pls 😫
I thank God that my Dad is still alive now that I am already a Dad. It has helped me to appreciate the sacrifices he made raising my siblings and me with his meagre salary as a classroom teacher. I would have been feeling ungrateful if he was dead. #fathers
The volume of contents thrown at us daily is massive, hence the need to sieve what you expose yourself to. Don't become a slave to a negative influence on social media. Filter the voices and follow your rhythm. Advise ur mother would have told you #MothersDay
