As we count down to International Women’s Day 2026, we advocate for a world where care is not seen as just a “woman’s duty” but a shared responsibility for all of society.

Too often, women and girls in the care sector carry the heaviest burdens, unpaid, undervalued, and overworked, while society at large benefits. True empowerment means changing this narrative: investing in care, recognizing its value, sharing responsibilities across homes, workplaces, and communities, and ensuring legal protections and fair treatment for those who care.

It is time to redistribute care, uplift caregivers, and build systems where care work is respected, protected, and celebrated.
