Never Look Down on anyone
Never scorn the beggar’s plea,
Or mock the one who stumbles low
For winds of fate can turn the sea,
And lift the meek where mighty go.
The crown you wear may slip away,
The throne you claim could crack and fall.
Tomorrow writes a different play,
Where roles reverse for one and all.
So walk in kindness, soft and true,
Extend your hand,withhold the sneer.
No soul is lesser in God’s view
For no one knows what waits next year.
Live humble, love without disdain,
Each heart you meet may rise again.
The wheel of life spins unforeseen…
Today’s the only bridge between.
