@Fortnite Just fix the game man. Can't select ANY Mali alt styles, every sprite you get through cheat codes and EVERY SINGLE match hack has a place holder icon, it shows nothing, shots dont register properly. It's literally the worst state this game has ever been in 10 years
EARLY ACCESS EVENTS ARE NOT HEALTHY FOR FORTNITE IN A WAY THEY CURRENTLY WORK ‼️
My problem isn’t that content creators are “lying” about enjoying a season early, or that they aren’t allowed to change their minds afterward. Obviously they are. My issue is that the entire environment of these events creates an insane amount of recency bias before the season is even available to the actual playerbase.
You’re invited to Epic HQ, surrounded by other creators, playing completely new content for the first time in a special environment. Of course everything is going to feel exciting and refreshing.
And the most ridiculous part is that we often don’t even need to see the footage first. The moment creators get the green light to talk about what they played, my timeline is immediately filled with the same “Epic outdid themselves,” “you guys aren’t ready,” and “this season is insane” posts before the public has seen any meaningful gameplay.
That alone creates a huge wave of artificial hype. The community is basically being told how incredible the season is before we’re even allowed to properly see it, let alone play it ourselves.
Then the footage releases, creators praise the season, clips spread everywhere, and that excitement becomes part of Epic’s marketing cycle.
Give it one or two weeks.
The novelty wears off, people understand the meta, and suddenly some of the same creators are complaining about the loot pool, balance, mechanics, or how repetitive the gameplay has become.
And whenever someone points out this cycle, people respond with “they’re allowed to change their mind.”
Of course they are. That’s literally the point.
If opinions consistently change once creators experience the game under normal conditions, then maybe Early Access events aren’t a particularly healthy or representative way of generating feedback and hype for a season.
There’s also an uncomfortable relationship between feedback and access. Epic gets overwhelmingly positive promotion before launch while creators get exclusive content, networking opportunities, early footage, engagement, and ultimately money from being among the first people covering the season.
I’m not saying creators consciously praise Epic because they’re being paid to do so. I’m saying the system itself creates incentives that naturally favor positivity and hype.
And that becomes even more questionable when these creators are presented as an important bridge between Epic and the community.
Playing something new for a few hours at Epic HQ is fundamentally different from playing it every day for weeks with the same loot pool, matchmaking, balance decisions, progression systems, and annoying mechanics as everyone else.
If Epic genuinely wants creator feedback to improve the game, then that feedback becomes far more valuable after the honeymoon period is over, not when everyone is experiencing the excitement of touching a new season for the first time.
At this point, Early Access feels less like a meaningful feedback opportunity and more like a marketing machine that manufactures hype before players can even form their own opinions.
ABSURDO!
Damon Lindelof says making Hal and John oppose eachother in ‘LANTERNS’ was a subversion of typical detective show tropes.
“We have someone at the end of their career and someone new who is ready. The conflict naturally derives from that.”
Esse é o pior estado que o fortnite já esteve em quase 10 anos de jogo. Quem diria que demitir 2 mil pessoas em menos de 3 anos traria consequências né.................
