For years, the United States operated on a live and let live understanding. LGBTQ+ adults could live openly, and most people respected that. It worked because it stayed focused on personal freedom and adult choice.

The moment that line was crossed was when children were pulled into it. Pushing ideology into elementary and middle schools crossed a clear boundary. Kids became part of an adult social agenda, and parents were no longer given the choice to opt out.

That decision broke the original social contract. What existed as tolerance turned into enforcement, and the backlash that followed is the direct consequence of crossing that line.
