@JosephNollaSJ If you say I don't know, I think it's important to follow up with, I'll do some research and get back to you. When you come back, it shows the person they are important. It shows them that they are worth your time and you went out of your way to try and answer their question.

@SpeedWatkins We will remember what living on the other side felt like. Because of that we'll choose to remain in God's presence and not rebel. When Lucifer rebelled, he had only known God's presence, and his pride made him think he could do things better.

@SpeedWatkins I wish I knew. I'll often times try to explain to my parents where the other side is coming from. The typical response I receive is, "I understand that, but I'm right." Politics has become an American religion that associates empathy or humility with being wrong.

While we disagree with the conclusion, this is an excellent post that outlines what a philosophically rigorous case for Catholicism could look like and how Catholicism as a hypothesis best explains the data of the world. Definitely worth engaging with.

@BRijswijk @ChristianIdeal2 @AApologetics I can't establish truth about God. But I can establish truth in general. Again, just how my mind works. Everyone is different. That being said, I only see two options. We were either put here by some sort of creator...or we weren't.

@SpeedWatkins @HonestlyAtheist Religious experiences are better explained by theism, but then there's still the issue of people from many belief systems having religious experiences. Because of this, a religious system would need to have an explanation and it can be difficult to determine what's true.
