#Somaliland: The Strategic Gateway the World Can No Longer Ignore
At the crossroads of Africa, the Middle East, and Asia lies a stable, democratic, and strategically vital nation overlooking the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden —Somaliland.
For over three decades, Somaliland has maintained peace, built democratic institutions, and safeguarded one of the world’s most important maritime corridors, through which over 12% of global trade passes.
With #Israel’s historic recognition, the global conversation has shifted. The question is no longer whether Somaliland will be recognized — but who will lead next.
🇺🇸 For the United States, Somaliland offers:
A reliable democratic partner in a volatile region
Strategic access to the Red Sea
A counterbalance to instability and unchecked Chinese expansion
🇮🇳 For #India, Somaliland represents:
A natural Indo-Pacific partner
Secure maritime cooperation
A stable gateway to African markets and energy diversification
Recognition is not charity. It is strategy.
The gateway is open. History rewards those who act early.

One of the most beautiful moments during #Somaliland’s May 18 National Day celebrations in Hargeisa was the appearance of beloved content creator Mohamed Ordaaye as he moved through the packed crowds in the capital, drawing huge excitement and cheers from the public.
Ordaaye, who gained international attention after the official @acmilan account featured his famous moves in their videos, joined Somalilanders at the heart of today’s celebrations, proudly sharing in the joy and spirit of this historic national occasion with his usual energy and spontaneity.

On liberation, recognition, and the spirit of Somaliland:
“Ilaahay baa ina ictiraafey.”
Perhaps no words better capture the resilience and unwavering belief of our people than this hooyo’s statement.
Happy 18 May to all celebrating Somaliland's Day of Liberation 🔥🔥🔥
Warmest congratulations to the President of the Republic of Somaliland and to the people of Somaliland on the occasion of the National Day.
Somaliland has presented itself as a great national liberation movement that succeeded in building stability and institutions, while confronting terrorism and defeating the rhetoric of hatred and extremism in one of the most complex regions of the Horn of Africa.
Wishing the people of Somaliland continued progress, peace, and prosperity.

Worldwide, women hold just 64% of the legal rights enjoyed by men.
Legal discrimination can shape every aspect of a woman’s life. She may be prevented from owning property, seeking a divorce, or taking a job without her husband’s permission.
Always shoot for the best. I followed this advice many years ago: If you have really high ambitions, you achieve great things even if you fail. If you have low ambitions, you achieve nothing even if you succeed. (anon) Still believe in this today. #PassionPurposeProductivity
During one of the darkest seasons of the American Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln visited a hospital filled with wounded soldiers. Rather than blame his generals, the rebels, or political rivals, he said, “I am responsible for these decisions. If there is failure, it is mine
A Lee Kuan Yew did not simply speak about prosperity. He built strong institutions, invested in education, and created systems that transformed Singapore into one of the most successful economies in the world.
This international women’s day , I reflect on the need for justice, action & accountability for all women & girls .
