As if we hadn’t noticed….why is it happening? Who owns the media?
Study from University of Loughborough confirmed what many already suspected. Media coverage outside of the top 2 parties during the General Election was skewed in favour of Farage & Reform https://t.co/T69XFXYCvX
So far this year, heatwaves have claimed hundreds of lives around the world.
We cannot accept a future where the rich are protected in air-conditioned bubbles, while the rest of humanity is lashed by lethal weather.
We need bold & decisive #ClimateAction. Now.
🌡️With extreme heat posing a growing threat to human health, the environment and key economic sectors, hundreds of millions of people in the northern hemisphere are bracing for what is typically the hottest month of the year, July.

Only 17% of the #GlobalGoals targets are on track.
In a world of unprecedented wealth, knowledge and technologies, the denial of basic needs for so many is outrageous & inexcusable.
We must not let up on our promise to end poverty & protect the planet.
There are strong forces at work attempting to convince us that a rapid and just transition would be too difficult, too unpopular or too expensive. It is not so.
Our new coalition #Mission2025 comprises some of the world’s largest businesses, networks, cities, regions and individuals, joining to call for governments to raise ambition for the next round of national climate plans (the NDCs due in 2025) to be 1.5°C-aligned.
By doing so, we can unlock the momentum needed for this transition to happen at the speed and scale required, and with the equity deserved.
This is entirely possible and - as we clearly see from the rising numbers of catastrophic extreme weather events in our news feeds every day - absolutely necessary.
Holding the line on 1.5°C is not an aspirational target – it is a scientific imperative.
It's time for leaders to lead.

You know I love the @BBC & celebrate all the things we pay our licence fee for . But yesterday whilst 100K peaceful people marched to demonstrate their love for life all I could find on @BBCNews was a selfie of the gas-guzzling @taylorswift13 . Im sorry but thats a disgrace #RestoreNatureNow
Why, @BBCNews is there nil on your site about thousands marching, yet you reported extensively on a couple of 100 marching against ULEZ? #Bias

The extent to which current and future generations will experience a hotter and different world depends on the choices we make today and in the coming years.
