Welles Crowther, a former Boston College lacrosse player who had a trademark red bandana, was working in New York on Sept. 11, 2001.
This is the story of how he led people to safety after terrorists struck the World Trade Center.
So far this World Cup has been a great reminder that we make too many assumptions about one another, and that the vast majority of humanity is awesome.
It's been pretty damn refreshing, honestly.
7 or 8 years ago I made the INTENTIONAL CHOICE to become more positive & optimistic.
I was simply tired of feeling drained, joyless, depressed, & "normal."
The same way you BUILD MUSCLES AT THE GYM by lifting you can build your mind over time to become more positive.
My blueprint:
1) Invest 3 minutes every morning journaling GRATITUDE.
Spend 1 minute after in prayer (meditation) & actively shift your mind to blessings, abundance & things you're grateful for! Highest ROI EVER!
2) Never complain.
If you slip up & do complain ALWAYS FOLLOW IT WITH GRATITUDE.
This traffic sucks...... but I'm grateful I have a car, places to go, & wasn't in the accident slowing us down.
3) Never watch legacy news.
It's all propaganda meant to make you anxious, angry, & disappointed. (Then they sell you pharmaceuticals for the solutions). Delete news apps. Unfollow doomers that post negative things all the time.
4) Change the music you listen to & inputs YOU ALLOW. I listen to 99% praise & worship Jesus music & 1% Rocky soundtrack. EYE OF THE TIGER!
I never watch sad movies or depressing shows. Why would you?
5) Remove certain PEOPLE from your life. Toughest one & I lost a few "friends." I decided I WAS WORTH IT. If they aren't cheering you on or promoting the best you.... why allow them a seat at your table?
I sometimes get made fun of by normies.
Isn't this boring?
You're up in the clouds & delusional.
Never by anyone doing better than me though.
RELENTLESS POSITIVITY FOR THE WIN!
It makes your days better & apparently even your life longer!
This might be the finest 60 seconds in the history of sports broadcasting. No prompter, no stumbling, no uhhs and you knows. Met the moment with big picture historical context in a way that connected it to the viewer. Not too understated or overly flowery. Just pitch perfect.
Mark Wahlberg starts EVERY day on his hands and knees in prayer—and says it’s the secret to handling life’s chaos after 50.
In this heartfelt clip, the actor opens up about loss, turning 54, and why daily prayer is non-negotiable for him:
- “If I get on my hands and knees first thing when I wake up, the rest of the day is going to be easier.”
- “Expressing my gratitude and making sure I’m wearing that armor…”
- “Bringing people back to prayer… is so important to our sanity and to our well-being.”
After a decade of world events that pulled many astray, Wahlberg believes a real relationship with God is essential armor against whatever comes next.
Raw, honest, and timely.
What’s your morning ritual—prayer, gratitude, silence, something else? How has it helped you through tough seasons? Share below—I’m reading every one.
"Now everyone uses therapy words to escape accountability. Everything is toxic, everything is trauma. Nothing is ever their fault."
this could describe the entire last 15 years
"41 percent of Democratic college students would not support a Republican-run business, 37 percent would not be friends with a Republican, and 30 percent would not work for one. (The Republican numbers regarding Democrats were 7, 5, and 7 percent.)" https://t.co/lX0wh9hgnZ
“Minneapolis paid a Somalian restaurant $12 MILLION in federal child meal funds after it claimed to feed 4,000–6,000 kids a day.”
The FBI watched the restaurant for 6 WEEKS.
An average of 40 people showed up.
If fraud this obvious still gets approved, corruption is NORMALIZED.
the most interesting part about trump is that he forces liberals into impossible binds where their stated values collide with their tribal reflexes.
they can’t celebrate this without laundering trump. they can’t condemn it without implicitly defending maduro.
it exposes a thing liberals hate admitting which is that their moral framework is often downstream of identity & not outcomes. incredible fun to witness.
Without question, some of the most grotesque Anti-American stuff imaginable.
It’s not a debate, there is no other opinion. The “warmth of collectivism” has no historical root in traditional Americanism. It’s just straight communistic stuff.
The new world was built on and based upon rugged individualism, if you don’t like it, well the new world isn’t for you.
