@SteveUrkelDude I actually think it’s a great call. FIFA is massively corrupt but most people seem prepared to ignore that because, as they see it, it’s all background noise and doesn’t affect the game. But here, we have a politician directly influencing what happens on the pitch.
@PaulTassi@Forbes A “biopic” starring Jackson’s nephew and some sort of agreement with the family over script content was always going to lack integrity. As a hagiography playing to congregations of the faithful, it’ll probably do gang busters at the box office.
Our reference for Tory PMs is David Cameron, Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak 😂 We have lived through the removal of the EMA, Plan 2 student loans, inflation busting pension increases, the disastrous Royal Mail privatisation, Brexit chaos, Covid chaos and unaffordable housing.
Cannot work out why 18-24 year olds vote mostly Green and Labour.
Youth unemployment is sky high since Labour came in. Unemployment is higher in general. Taxes are higher, life is more expensive, stamp duty is higher, etc.
Are the youth generally that brainwashed?
Doesn’t take much research online to see the mess Labour makes of things. Greens would be catastrophic too.
@destiny_thememe@PaulTassi Same, you can get amazing value from Netflix if you only subscribe for 2 months of the year and then rotate to something else.
my broke ass landlord is tryna keep my entire security & pet deposit from me (nearly $2k) despite my apartment being immaculately clean when i moved out. little does he know i love wasting landlord's time so he will see me in small claims court
The British government learnt of the data leak in August 2023.
24k Afghans secretly granted asylum, costing British taxpayers up to £7 billion.
The government covered it up.
Who was in government?
Home Secretary: Suella Braverman
Immigration Minister: Robert Jenrick
Rachel Reeves's Budget will hit those on middle and higher incomes the hardest, while those on lower incomes will benefit
This is ultimately Reeves's pitch to voters - in challenging circumstances she says she has prioritised those on benefits and low earners
But as YouGov and others have pointed out, many of those in the middle-income and higher-income deciles who are hit by these tax rises are Labour voters
There is evidence that Labour is in denial about its core vote. That far from being the party of the working classes, its core supporters are now relatively well-off graduates who live in cities
@smbendle While the true value of the bribes is probably higher, £40,000 just isn’t a lot of money to turn traitor. When Reform next betray the country to Russia, I hope they do so for more than the price of a Tesla Model 3.
Without anyone noticing? I see it every month in my payslip. It should’ve been the main reason why the Cons lost the last election but it got buried as they lurched from one crisis to the next
Fiscal creep has been an amazingly easy way for recent Governments to raise tax without anyone noticing.
Here's the higher rate tax band since 1990.
It rose faster than inflation from 1994 to 2009. Then began a steep decline - with many more people paying higher rate.
@smbendle You go back to the Cold War with a new version of Bond without the pretence of any sort of continuation, cast an unknown British actor, bring out the classic Aston Martins and a newly formed SMERSH
