With snow continuing to fall, chain control checkpoints are in effect throughout Southern California mountains. Please be very careful if you're traveling in your national forests and avoid unnecessary driving if possible.

A test burn on the #PineCoveRX was successful this morning. Crews are continuing with the prescribed broadcast burn, a type of active forest management, on the west side of Pine Cove, north of Idyllwild. Smoke may be seen coming from the San Jacinto Mountains.

Meanwhile, the #PineCoveRx is going well. Crews are approaching 20 acres of treatment and smoke is dissipating well, yet highly visible from Idyllwild and Hemet.

- Big Bear (Monday)
- Idyllwild (Monday)
- Angelus Oaks (Tuesday)
