An accountant & a business woman. I love life, want smart, honest & serious minded people around me. Here to defend Igbos against Yoruba Ronu & Hausa Igbo haters
@titusmanny1@General_Somto Now making her to pay for it by turning her to a slave. If this woman is your sister or daughter, you will ask her to stay a slave to a man because he took care of her when she didn’t have. You no get shame
@GossipMillNaija You are still going to blamed for bringing out your family’s dirty laundry to the world. Some people are not supposed to be allowed to use internet. You are not smart.
This is the height of negligence.
A patient complained after surgery and they didn't take any action.
I wish the family had taken her to another hospital as soon as they noticed the careless attitude.
Surgical equipment are usually counted to avoid mistake like this.

A strict protocol of monitoring and counting surgical equipment is mandatory during surgery to ensure that all items are accounted for before the patient's wound is closed.
This process is critical for preventing "never events," such as leaving sponges, needles, or instruments inside a patient.
Who Counts: The counting process is usually led by the scrub nurse (or technician) and the circulating nurse together. They count aloud while both verify the number of items.
When Counting Occurs:
Preoperative (Initial): A baseline count is performed before the skin incision.
Intraoperative: Additional counts are done when new items are added to the field or when there is a change in personnel.
Closing Count: A count is done when closing a cavity (like the abdomen) and before skin closure.
Final Count: A final, complete count is performed before the patient leaves the operating room.
What is Counted: Items include sponges (gauze), sharps (needles, blades), instruments (forceps, clamps), and any other miscellaneous items that could be left behind.
What Happens if a Count is Incorrect: If a count is incorrect, the surgeon is immediately notified, and a search is conducted. The team must recount, search the field, the floor, and in the trash. If the item is still not found, an X-ray is often taken to locate it before the patient is closed.
This process is a mandatory safety step involving at least two people to ensure patient safety and reduce the risk of further, unnecessary surgeries.
