🚨 I just read something that made my stomach drop.
Guys… we’re really one breakdown away from the lights going out.
Our power reserve is sitting at just 3.3%.
Back in January, it was a solid 20.73%. Now it’s crashed to 3.34%.
And peak demand has already hit 2,549 MW.
Wind and solar give us 20% of our power… but the second the sun goes down or the wind dies, they’re gone. No batteries to save us.
Of course, it hits hardest between 6 and 10pm, when you’re cooking, kids are doing homework, and shops are still open.
One plant fails or one delay from Ethiopia.
Suddenly: blackouts will occur.
This doesn’t feel like a “maybe later” problem.
It feels like it’s already at the door.
@DrMumbiSeraki MOST PEOPLE ARE COMPROMISED IN THIS COUNTRY, ALL WE NEED IS SOMEBODY WHO HAS BEEN CONSISTENT IN FIGHTING FOR THE RULE OF LAW. MNAKUANGA NA KIHEREHERE YET YOU OFFER ZERO SOLUTIONS.

Kenya is joining the Budapest Convention on Cybercrime. Mudavadi is pushing Parliament to seal it. Once locked in, investigators can request, and send, your digital footprint to the US, UK, Israel, Germany, and dozens more.
They say it’s to fight SIM-swap thieves (Sh491 million stolen in 2025, +327%, 123,000 fake SIMs) and mobile fraud (Sh810 million in 2024).
But the same machinery that catches scammers can target journalists, activists, or anyone labelled a “cybercriminal.”

Africa’s economic crisis is not caused by a lack of resources, but by illicit financial flows, debt dependency and unequal global rules.
At AfCoDD VI in Nairobi, I called for Africa to reclaim its economic sovereignty. The continent loses about US$90 billion annually through illicit financial flows while spending roughly US$89 billion servicing debt. Between 1970 and 2018, more than US$2 trillion left Africa through capital flight.
This is not a financing gap. It is a haemorrhage.
We must stop illicit financial flows, reclaim resource sovereignty, reform the global debt system and strengthen social protection.
The time for action is now. The bleeding must stop.

On the headlines today;
More farmers turn to friends and relatives for loans, as banks become expensive and difficult.
You know why? Its because of the Ksh 7T domestic debt.

Nanyuki town was originally Maa ,
but we failed to simp to the mzungu colonialists to be their farm boys.
[the white settlers
displaced the maa from their agriculturally-productive land]
The community that submitted themselves to be farm boys , now became the owners of the maa land after the white settlers left post independence.
Laikipia is a name of a maa subclan ,ilaikipiak.
Nanyuki is a word , meaning a beautiful girl -Nanyokie [supposedly white settlers women]
maybe to simp is good, we would still be owning the treasures of Nanyuki land 😁😅.
