The Odyssey is that film who beat my lazy as, & took me to almost three hours voyages & that’s me respecting my viewing experience, the storytelling & the craftsmanship of the filmmaking. good art will touch your core in a way that a click never can.

i complained about having a slump in my viewing experience & turns out it’s just me consumed too many media. then I watched The Odyssey & I understand: you need to have patience in the storytelling, focus and digest. short form media & streaming service rewire my brain —

& ofc I can’t blame the tools presented to me bcs I’m the one in control. but I also need to point out there are so many media being produced & it’s just a touch away from us, they’re in competition with another for our attention.

A writing student asked me if it's okay to use AI to "structure" his ideas—not to "write" but "just to "structure."

Very gently, but with all the passion in my heart, I said, "No."

And then I spoke with him about why:

Structuring a piece of writing *is* writing. Imagine if whatever made the Universe had said, "I just need something else to structure all this stuff."

The act of structuring, of finding forms—whether it takes hours of inspiration or years of study (and it takes both)—is the unique chance to find out who you are, why you create, and what creation is.

Don't take that away from yourself. If you do, soon there will be nothing in you—nothing unique, nothing ancient, nothing new—to structure at all.

here in 2026, there’s an unhinged kdrama titled The Legend of Kitchen Soldier and they created a fictional boygroup named ‘Migak Boys (with Lee Sangyi)’, had 2 versions MV, performed on mcountdown, made a relay dance vid, & had a rice paddle as their lightstick.
