Why is it that when you report spam, there’s no option to just say “this is AI slop”? Is that because 90% of the network would just disappear? It’s all AI bots replying to AI slop.
Newest @SlackHQ change to call "Messages" / "Bookmarks" / "Pins" etc "tabs" confused the hell out of me. Does anyone go to Gmail and say "I'm in my sent messages 'tab'"? It feels like desperation to make every DM say "2 tabs" as if screaming into the void "Please use canvas!"
@eldsjal The article makes it really hard to understand how much the fee is, FWIW. “0.50 cent Euro” sounds like half a euro cent, not “50 euro cents” or “€0.50” or a number of other ways this could have been written more clearly.
@CliffB60@GRDecter It’s not. It’s business class. AA doesn’t offer first class on most routes - only a select few longhaul routes like JFK-LHR and JFK-LAX.
Getting real tired of @lyft drivers scamming people at the airport. They’re miles away, then magically their GPS jumps to be at the airport. Of course they’re not there, they don’t respond to text or call, and then they cancel and collect the cancellation fee. Total scam.
@lizthegrey 4/ doesn’t mean that the increasing pay gap isn’t problematic, but it’s disingenuous to imply that most companies could avoid layoffs by just cutting CEO comp, especially for earlier stage companies.
@lizthegrey It doesn’t mean the strategy was incorrect. It means that the old strategy is no longer correct for current conditions, and that you have to adapt. The corollary to your proposition is that you should run the same strategy regardless of economic context, which is equally wrong.
@lizthegrey 3/ but the notion that it’s solvable by cutting CEO compensation is not real, especially for smaller companies where CEO comp is largely equity, and the company may be trying to conserve cash. Cutting headcount is the only way for many companies to hit that cashflow reduction.
@lyft why is it impossible to report a clear scam? Driver was somehow immediately at JFKT4 (never happens) and then I couldn’t find them, and they didn’t answer message or phone. Clearly fraud, impossible to report.
@fishing4fishes @gsic87 @LEBassett Those RSUs are taxed at ordinary income tax rates when they vest, at the full market value on vesting day. From a tax perspective, getting that money in cash vs as RSUs is literally the exact same in terms of your tax bill at the end of the year.
