Never been more proud of anything I've worked on than Drop the Air with Jon as part of @ifonlythetrees. We wrote songs in our dorm rooms at UMD and apartments in DC. The truth is, I'm still learning what it's about. But I did my best to write it down.
Thank you, @NoiseEverything !
"A beautiful little post-rock gem with a very interesting vocal performance. Worth your time, it’s something special."

"So Much Plenty Of" changed a lot on its way to appearing on Drop the Air this year, but some things, like the piano that appears throughout the song, were recorded back in 2010.
8 years ago today, we visited the home studio of our friend Dan to record the first two songs we had ever completed as If Only the Trees. One was called "Malakh," which has never been released. The other was "So Much Plenty Of." This picture, taken by Dan, is from that session.
One of my favorite genres is very heavy music that is very gorgeous and very deeply felt. It's something we tried to touch on our album, and it's something that @HOLY_FAWN absolutely nails on theirs.

We released DROP THE AIR a week ago today and we're stunned by the reception. Thank you to everyone who has listened & enjoyed the music, and thank you to those who have reached out. To see people connecting to songs that we spent years feeling so deeply is humbling. Thank you.
