But at the same time we have very great examples from the world which truly are relatable and that’s why they should be taught. The French Revolution is a pioneer for modern democracy.

We are taught our country before western history from std VIth only. Please have a look. We must be taught our own country in the greatest possible detail, be it our good or dark times, be it Delhi Sultanate or Mughal Empire or Emergency.

Out of the bulky history around the world we were taught some of the best parts which are relatable. Even today the situation is not very different. A larger proportion of population belongs to that same ‘third class’ from the French Revolution. A lot of things are similar.

If possible and time allows give it a read once again. You will know how beautifully it was written and how relatable it is.

Pornography was never part of syllabus but the French Revolution was. There is a reason for why historian added this. I can see you have very little interest in History. Pornography is socially unacceptable whereas it was the ‘situation’ that was unacceptable in the French Revolution. Know the term ‘dropped’.
