Author. Producer and Host of The One Inside: An Internal Family Systems (IFS) Podcast. Certified IFS Consultant and Therapist. Boy mom and Enneagram Type 3.
Eleven episodes of the podcast this year have featured Authors of a new @IFS_Model book coming out August 31 entitled “Altogether Us,” including one with Richard Schwartz.
New episode: Self emerges spontaneously whenever parts separate enough to let it out. It is in everyone, can’t be damaged, and knows how to heal. Self is just beneath the surface of parts. If people got this and knew how to access it IT WOULD CHANGE EVERYTHING- Richard Schwartz
When you have to exile one feeling in order to protect yourself from pain in an area of your life, you tend to exile that feeling in all areas of your life. For example, if feeling love is scary, sad, and not safe your ability to feel love in general is diminished. @IFS_Model
New episode! When doing solo IFS, we don’t need to do what a part asks. We need to be authentic. That’s our job. Not to be “in Self” or do IFS “right” but to show up for our parts and be authentic. @IFS_Model
New podcast episode: healing from complex trauma is all about Self being your Sentur. You just want to find your Sentur, the way back home. @SenturApp@IFS_Model
What part of you is acting as your “Representative” today? Ask it with curiosity what they fear would happen to you if they “released the performance? @IFS_Model
New episode: As long as parts are stuck in their protective roles, they are not living into their potential. (Also, there’s a burdened exile who could use some love from you.) @IFS_Model
New episode- Your parts may not want to settle for unconditional love and attachment from your Self. But when they actually get that connection they realize it’s not settling at all. #attachment@IFS_Model
The ‘trick’ of #TrickorTreat is that your Firefighter parts can eat alll the candy they want to and ‘trick’ the Manager Parts by saying, “What? It’s Halloween!” #nobadparts
New episode- IFS and Chronic Pain.
Are there Parts creating pain - a signal of danger - as a strategy to help you feel safe and to say Never Again? What if you befriended these parts instead of blaming and vilifying them?
The ‘focus of attention’ … that will be based on our Enneagram type.
The ‘disentangling’ … that’s unblending from our parts.
And, what ‘emerges’ … that’s our authentic Self.
“Meditation is the relaxing of the focus of our attention from its content, the disentangling of our self from the trauma of experience, and the subsequent emergence of our essential nature of silent awareness.”- @RupertSpira
“Let your awareness be absorbed by your breathing.”
Is that confusing? Good! Confusion invites curiosity. Curiosity invites our Authentic Self to emerge.
