Honoured to participate in the Special Interactive Meeting with the Hon’ble President of India under Janjatiya Garima Utsav 2026 at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi. Proud to represent Kargil, Ladakh on this prestigious occasion.

I have not stepped away from activism. My commitment to Ladakh remains unchanged.
But activism must serve a larger purpose: a just, lasting future for Ladakh. It will require clarity, unity, and sincere dialogue.
Our struggle has always been for Ladakh’s protection, dignity, and long-term wellbeing and shall continue to be!!
Today, I held a detailed meeting with the Joint Secretary, PAI Division, Ministry of External Affairs, regarding Indian nationals including residents of Ladakh stranded in Iran.
We discussed the safe evacuation of pilgrims, students, tullabs and all others affected. The Joint Secretary assured me that the Government is taking every necessary step and is deeply concerned for the safety of its citizens.
With Iranian airspace currently closed and sea routes also carrying risks, and given the dangers at borders of neighbouring countries, the Ministry is actively exploring all possible options for safe evacuation. The Indian Embassy in Iran is collecting data of all stranded Indian nationals and is trying to reach out to every Indian citizen there.
Specific concerns of Ladakhi residents, including passport and visa-related issues, were also discussed. The Ministry has assured that all such matters are being examined and has assured full support on these matters.
For the time being, I request everyone stranded in Iran to remain where they are and avoid any movement until further instructions. Efforts are also being made to shift those in high-risk areas (such as Tehran and other cities facing attacks) to safer locations within Iran itself.
I am in regular contact with the Ministry and will share every update as soon as it is received. Safety of every Indian nationals including our people from Ladakh remains our top priority.

This is old Hospital Road, Kargil, in the evening—where it took over half an hour just to move an inch. Poor management, unregulated parking, and lack of traffic control are causing serious congestion issues. Kargil deserves better infrastructure and traffic management solutions.
Today, I had a productive meeting with the Controller of Examinations at the University of Kashmir to address the crucial matter of examination centers, specifically for B.Ed students from Ladakh. I emphasized the importance of maintaining an examination center in Ladakh to enhance convenience and accessibility for students in the region.
I am pleased to share that the Controller has confirmed that a B.Ed examination center for Ladakhi students will continue to be available within Ladakh.
Additionally, we engaged in discussion on various issues impacting the student community from Ladakh. My primary objective is to ensure that all students from Ladakh have access to fair, accessible, and well-equipped examination facilities. I remain committed to removing obstacles and advocating for the educational advancement and future success of our youth.

Grateful for the opportunity to meet Shri Govind Mohan, IAS, worthy Union Home Secretary, Gov of India. On behalf of the people of Ladakh, I discussed key issues of the region, seeking immediate action on the following:

2. Address the urgent need for civil aviation in Kargil by arranging a 50-seater aircraft for winter months.
3. Resolve issues pertaining to daily wagers in Ladakh.
4. Speed up approval of the "UT Ladakh Casual & Other Workers Welfare Scheme 2023."
5. Establish a Public Service Commission in Ladakh to address unemployment and promote youth opportunities.
6. Consider the demand for new districts in strategically important areas like Sankoo and Shakar Chiktan for better administrative efficiency.
7. Ensure local stakeholders' inclusion in the demarcation process of newly declared districts.
8. Expedite funding for the long-pending Medical and Engineering colleges for Leh and Kargil.
9. Resume interactive BSF camps to strengthen local security relations.
Immediate action on these matters will benefit both the people and the security of Ladakh. I am thankful to the worthy secretary for his time and keen interest on the stated and other issues raised during the discussion.
I wholeheartedly support and welcome the Pad Yatra to Delhi, led by Ka @Wangchuk66 lay and participated by volunteers from all backgrounds in this extreme ~950 km walk. This movement is of utmost importance for the future of Ladakh.
As a core issue to my commitment with the people of Ladakh, I always stands by the people's movement of KDA Kargil and APEX Leh with regard to the 4 point agenda in favour of Ladakh.
These goals are not just political demands but are essential for securing a prosperous and sustainable future for Ladakh. My best wishes are with everyone contributing in this yatra in their capacity and I pray for this movement to achieve its goal. 💐🙏🏼✌🏼
I respectfully urge the Honorable Home Minister of India, Shri @AmitShah ji, to take the necessary steps to facilitate the resumption of dialogues and discussions between the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the high power committee of Ladakh (the Kargil Democratic Alliance, and the Apex Body of Leh). These talks are crucial to addressing the legitimate concerns and aspirations of the people of Ladakh.
Further, due to my current commitments abroad, I am unable to participate in the pad yatra at this time. However, I look forward to actively joining the movement upon my return to India.
