INTERESTING: when Team Anna hit the streets in 2011 (with the RSS also providing support), few called the protests ‘anarchic’. Now when Rahul Gandhi and the opposition do it, the same forces who hailed the Anna Andolan , now use the word ‘anarchy’ routinely. Then the BJP was in opposition and Cong in power, now roles reversed. Guess where you stand in Indian politics depends on where you sit, no?! 🙏

HEARTBROKEN: a phenomenal actor but most importantly a dear friend, Nana Patekar is no more. Passed away in Goa short while ago. Spoke to him only yesterday. His last words to me: Kaalji Ghe Raja (take care Raja). Will miss you Nana sir on and off screen . You were always there for me, through good times and bad. Om Shanti 🙏🙏🙏

No word from the Great Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Thiru. C Joseph Vijay on the forcibly removal and illegal detention of his alliance partner @RahulGandhi from the AIR premises!
Thiru Vijay has no opinion on the @INCIndia protest, SIR or the events in Delhi.
Such is the fear over @CBIHeadquarters chargesheet on the Karur murders, I presume !

More than 300 Opposition MPs marched from Parliament to the Election Commission today to meet the Election Commissioners.

We represent crores of Indians.

- Why aren't the Election Commissioners meeting us?
- Why is the police stopping and threatening us?

India has become a country where the Election Commission of India can LIE on record that the Supreme Court had approved a modified Form 6.

This is the quality of our Government, our politicians and our officials.

Timeline of this outbreak

A 28-year-old lab technician (Darya Shipilova) at the Irkutsk Anti-Plague Research Institute in Shelekhov, Siberia died of severe pneumonia after a suspected lab accident around Sept 25. Local reports say she broke a test tube containing live bacteria (possibly Yersinia pestis / plague).
She was hospitalized Sept 29, put on a ventilator, and died Oct 1-2.
~197-200 contacts are under medical observation. The hospital (and a few others) were put under temporary quarantine.
Russian health authorities (Rospotrebnadzor) officially call it “pneumonia of unknown etiology.” They say no pathogens linked to her work were found in samples, contacts are testing negative so far, and the overall situation in the region is stable.
No confirmed outbreak. White House is monitoring.
It’s a serious incident that needs proper investigation, but it’s not currently an uncontrolled “deadly virus leak” spreading through the population.
