Travelling in Ramadan raises a fiqh question:
Fast or take the dispensation?
In my recent @AlHakamWeekly article, I lay out that, according to legal proofs, if travel is realised, refraining from fasting and making up fasts is obligatory, not merely permitted!

This table reads as conclusive.
It isn't.
Without the 'ulum al-Qur'an frame, it generates more confusion than it resolves, especially for readers who take it straight.
Variant sura orders in private codices prove nothing at all against a tawqifi arrangement. A thread ๐งต. (1/14)
Even if the reports of variant sura orders in private codices are taken at face value, they still do not disprove a fixed order in the 'Uthmanic mushaf, because not one of those codices was ever intended as a public rival.
This was never what they were for. (14/14)

Pre-'Uthmanic evidence points to a recognised arrangement.
Established Qur'anic divisions, three, five, seven, nine, eleven, thirteen, then the mufassal, presuppose a sequence already known to them.
'Uthman's committee confirmed an order they did not author themselves. (13/14)
@_shershahhkhan_ Incidentally, the renowned historian Fuat Sezgin, who specialised, among other things, in the history of science, held the view that Muslim seafarers had successfully reached the Americas as early as 1420.

The Ottomans actually reached America before Columbus, as renowned historian Prof Fuat Sezgin, author of the seminal "Geschichte des Arabischen Schrifttums" ("The Arabic Writing Tradition: An Historical Survey"), convincingly argues in the following paper:

Here, Allah is reduced to a bare name, separated from His sending of the Prophet (sa).
But the Quranic Allah is no empty deism: since the Quran calls those who claim belief in Him yet reject His Messenger (sa) disbelievers, belief in the Prophet (sa) follows from tawhid itself.
The Shahada itself is shirk.
โAshhadu an la ilaha illa Allah, wa ashadu anna Muhammadan rasulu Allah.โ
To ritually become a Muslim, you must testify to faith in Allah and immediately afterward recognise Muhammad, which is associating partners with Allah.
If Islam has always existed since the time of Adam, then โLa ilaha illa Allahโ should be enough to ritually declare yourself Muslim.
In reality Islam is Muhammadโs invention, and there is no Islam without association with Muhammad; likewise there is no Allah of the Quran without Muhammad.
What happens when public rhetoric causes people to change their routes home, avoid public spaces, or question whether they truly belong in the country they call home?
The โUnite the Kingdomโ march of May 2026 reignited an important debate about the distinction between free speech and targeted hostility.
Criticism of religion, including Islam, is a fundamental freedom that must be protected. Ideas should be open to scrutiny, discussion and debate.
But there is a difference between challenging beliefs and portraying an entire community as alien, removable or undeserving of equal standing in society.
When members of a religious community are told they do not belong, the issue is no longer theology or policy. It becomes a question of citizenship, dignity and belonging.
A society's strength is not measured by how effectively it excludes people, but by how well it protects the equal rights and dignity of all its citizens.
Muslim families share the same concerns as their neighbours: housing, healthcare, education, employment and the rising cost of living. Blaming minorities for wider social problems does not solve those problems.
The Holy Quran teaches believers to uphold justice even when it is difficult and to resist allowing hostility towards others to undermine fairness.
Justice cannot be selective. The same standards must apply to anti-Muslim hatred, antisemitism, racism and hatred directed at any community.
As Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad (aa) stated at the National Peace Symposium 2026, justice is a universal principle applicable to all people, whether religious or not.
True unity cannot be built by making some people feel their place in society is conditional. A nation is strongest when every person can live with the confidence that they already belong.
