Thai T-50 fighter jet violated Cambodia’s sovereignty, more than 70 km into Cambodian territory, and dropped bombs on a Cambodian civilian area near Phnom Sampov, Banan District, Battambang Province, at 10:00 a.m. on December 24, 2025, according to the Ministry of National Defense.

The above action constitutes a brutal, indiscriminate attack by the Thai military, violating international humanitarian law and amounting to a war crime against humanity.

BREAKING: Cambodia’s Defense Ministry said a Thai T-50 fighter jet dropped four bombs near Phnom Sampov, a popular tourist destination in Banon district, Battambang Province, at around 10:00 a.m. The strikes hit civilian locations and civil infrastructure after Thai forces crossed into the area, causing chaos at a nearby school where the explosions could be clearly heard.

Thai forces have reportedly entered Thmor Da, Pursat Province.

According to residents and CCTV footage, Thai army units moved into Cambodian civilian homes. Thmor Da is not a recognized disputed border area between Cambodia and Thailand. If confirmed, this constitutes an incursion into Cambodian-administered territory.

BREAKING: Last night, Thai F-16 fighter jets destroyed the O’Chik Bridge, linking Chong Kal district in Oddar Meanchey province with Srei Snam district in Siem Reap province. The strike occurred near the same area hit earlier this week, forcing displaced civilians from a nearby camp to flee again to other shelters they believed were safer.

Thailand’s behavior fits a bullying pattern. It is using overwhelming force against a weaker neighbor while framing it as defense. It demands Cambodia agree to a ceasefire first while continuing daily strikes. It shifts blame by presenting itself as open to peace while escalating on the ground. It pushes attacks beyond immediate border areas to intimidate. It has carried out repeated strikes in or near civilian areas, contributing to displacement and civilian harm.

The Steung Meteuk bridge in Thmor Da, Pursat was bombed earlier this morning and later struck again by a Thai F-16. The second strike completely destroyed the bridge.
