@FrLavery@matthew_sede@EricRSammons “Suddenly disappear”? I’m afraid the situation is much more complex…which is part of the issue with sedevacantism right now imo. Yet, we can continue to pray!
@FatherAltman I mean he’s not said anything heretical here. And he’s not wrong. It is The Church’s mission and always has been to preserve and interpret. That authority belongs to no one else but The Church.
@Entusiasta3513@Tele_us_mock_us Yeah that’s just it isn’t it. The biggest problem with sedevacantism is that when you keep digging you find a heresy with every pope. Why stop at Pacelli? Dig into Pius X and you’ll find something. And what about Leo XIII or Pius IX? Keep going! You’ll find the true church!
@christopherhale You're fighting a losing battle. You speak of a great "corporate sin" but you speak nothing of personal sin. You're quick to want change The Church and Magisterium for your agenda but refuse to change yourself to it. It's not a matter of cons. or lib. it's a matter of faith.
>Called out democracy
In a recent interview called “Synodality: Exclusive Interview with Pope Leo XIV,” Pope Leo talked about how synodality is a way for us to come together and be a community and seek communion as Church: “We together are Church and each person with their own vocation [...] has a role to play and something to contribute.”
He continues, “It’s an attitude that can teach a lot to the world today, this is an antidote for polarization.” [...] “If we listen to the Gospel, and if we reflect upon it together and if we strive to walk forward together, there’s a lot to be gained from that.”
But the Holy Father warned: “Not to try to transform the Church into some kind of democratic government, which if we look at many countries around the world today democracy is not necessarily the perfect solution to everything, or at least with its limitations of moving about.” [...] “But respecting and understanding the life of the Church for what it is and saying ‘we have to do this together.’"
@realsedepicante@StephenKokx What are you even talking about? How else do you expect it to grow if not by attraction? Should the sinner not be attracted to the enticements of salvation at first? Is proselytizing the effective means in today's world?
Many think Communism is just a political theory. It is not.
Communism is a spiritual weapon of the devil, designed to enslave souls, destroy the Church, and erase God from the hearts of Men.
This is why saints stood up to it.
Why is communism demonic? Because communism begins with atheism. It denies God and His Church.
Man is reduced to a number in the collective.
The State becomes "god". The Church becomes the enemy. This is not just a political theory. Its satanic.
Can a christian be a communist? No. The Church has made this absolutely clear. Pope Pius XII decreed in 1949: Catholics who professed atheistic communist doctrine to be excommunicated as apostates from the Christian faith.
To support Communism is to support a system that seeks to crucify Christ anew, in His Church, in His poor, in His priests.
Socialist and communist regimes have persecuted the Church and its faithful since their inception. From Venerable Cardinal József Mindszenty in Hungary; He was arrested, tortured, drugged, and forced into a show trial. But he never renounced the Faith.
To the Martyrs of Ukraine of 1946 when Stalin outlawed the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church.
To the modern day where Christians, and the Church, in China, North Korea and Venezuela are persecuted. Just last month Maduro's regime had arrested a Cardinal and confiscasted his passport.
But we know the way to fight it.
In 1917, at the height of WWI, three shepherd children in Fatima, Portugal received a message from Heaven.
Our Lady warned: “Russia will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will suffer much…”
The “errors of Russia” were not just political. They were spiritual poisons:
>Atheistic materialism
>Class warfare
>Destruction of the family
>Rejection of the Church
>Deification of the State
>Persecution of the faithful
These are the seeds of Communism, and they spread globally.
We are still suffering from these to these day.
Our Lady gave us weapons to use:
>Daily Rosary
>Consecration to her Immaculate Heart
>First Saturdays devotion
>Penance and reparation for sins
She promised: “In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph.”
