@AdamMGrant one day, you'll find your tribe. you just have trust that people are out there waiting to love you & celebrate for who you are. in the meantime, the reality is you might have to be your own tribe. you might have to 'be your own best friend.' so start the work of loving yourself.
one of the quotes i find most inspiring on a hard day:
"Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom"
Ecclesiastes 9:10
no one gets to choose their parents but you can choose how you want to be parented by who you want to emulate. i mean, there are billions of people in the world?
i expect autoimmune gene editing would be another fun of shitshow. while you could in principle circumvent the delivery problem with Trojan engineering yet here it's like trying to reconstruct the lion's den itself as if the tribe has never been brutal with otherwise its day job
being contrarian and right is retroactively difficult; being contrarian and wrong requires falsifiable means. if the micro outcomes keep pointing at the latter, that's when you might at least want to concede to the median
never take the 'wisdom of the crowds' at face value. it should pass a few verification steps (in the Jacksonian sense) before it can then survive your meta attic.
Here are my four GWAS lectures of ~20 minutes each for the International Statistical Genetics Workshop 2026.
They're part of the broader workshop curriculum but also work as standalone lectures covering the basics of GWAS from the ground up.
