Just a little tour around the first level. What I'd like to add in the near future:
- Building varieties
- Water reflection
- Particle system with collision
- NPC's

Thank you to all my followers for sticking around. Development has been so slow lately, but I'm still here. Only 100 more till I get to 1000 followers!!

@LuminousWizard I did hear about that, but was worried lol. I managed to do some other coding today anyway, so I've not been sat twiddling my thumbs all day, hehe
I've been hearing some sort of issue with the new GM2 update (2.1.4.285), I've withheld from updating and wondering if others are having trouble with the new version update. Otherwise, how do I bypass the update so I can continue working? π
@AnderJam_ Odd, I was on the Gamemaker subreddit yesterday and some people were having problems. I will update it, so hopefully nothing bad happens π
@DarkNStudio Well the main one I've heard is collision problems or games aren't running at all. I don't particularly want to update until it's been fixed, but also want to continue working
@Darkeyed19 Well I was thinking of doing some C# work today, brushing up on the basics and will work towards more complicated projects in the near future. Looking into software development as an option :)
What you going to do as a focus reset? Not really sure I get it XD Sorry
Morning everyone π Just thought I'd check in, update people and see what others are planning to do today.
I'm currently stuck on a feature and have been for about a week or so, it's one of those where I am so close to getting it perfect, but I'm not sure what is missing π
@kecup10 Would you say the bachelors degree helped you get into the position you're in now? Do you know many people that managed to break into software development without a degree?
@Quackertree I'll have my moments of feeling stressed out, just like any person in any situation. I do take breaks every so often and it usually helps me get refocused :)
@Quackertree I guess you're right, hehe. I definitely see the improvements I've made, whether it's in art or coding :)
Thanks mate :) That's another thing I've learnt!
@Quackertree I'm definitely finding game dev fun, it's a nice challenge. I can get stuck, a little frustrated, but I keep at it. I manage to solve the problems and it's a massive relief and it's exciting when it happens.
@Quackertree I don't want to just rush something out the door, I want it to be a quality game and something I can work towards making a living off of. I know these things can take time, but I always feel I'm still in that learning process XD
@Quackertree I try and invest what I can, some weeks it can be 20 hours. I know I can work more in the evening, but I get so tired when I come back from my job, which is only part time anyway, but it's none stop.
