Aspiring to be a pro footballer, great thing yeah, however, there is a problem.
A lot of footballers especially from Africa do not have a plan for what they would do after retirement.
They do not have a plan for managing their finances and even when you recommend a finance manager, they think you want to steal their money or cheat them or think that they are capable of managing it.
These footballers don't even have a lawyer, they think it is a waste of money and waste of time.
Lot of them retire early, their career battered by injury because they don't have dieticians who can guide them to eat healthy.
They don't even have good agents because they see it as a waste of money to pay agency fees. So you often wonder why a good footballer is playing in some leagues.
They don't even perform optimally, because they don't have people who watch their game and point out where they should improve.
Finally, lots of them don't read, don't find education attractive and don't challenge their mind. So they remain where they are.
Good night.
