Mind blown. 🇲🇾
In 2009, when SpaceX was nearly bankrupt after multiple Falcon 1 failures, Malaysia stepped up.
The RazakSAT became their first commercial payload — that payment helped Elon make payroll.
Even crazier: Dr. Ahmad Sabirin says Elon Musk offered Malaysia a ~10% stake in SpaceX (plus a board seat) as appreciation for being the customer who believed in them when almost no one else would. The Malaysian government turned it down. Najib Razak was Prime Minister at the time (he took office in April 2009).
It was a said no.
That 10% today? Roughly RM 820+ billion and counting..
Malaysia helped launch the dream… but missed the ride to the moon. Hindsight is brutal.
@damienslash i really hope he doesn’t use an ICE car, ride a bus, or cook, eat meat, and actually how does they generate electricity from @grok ? is it via gas generator?
