After swift intervention by officers, Oxford Circus is now clear.

The demonstration is moving along Regent Street towards Trafalgar Square and is being closely monitored.

Officers are responding to a group of protestors who have sat down and blocked Oxford Circus.

This behaviour clearly impacts on London's ability to function normally and we are working quickly to reopen the road.

@mariaalcoptia @brother667581 This video is said to show the same pair of dogs with the same owner some time earlier.

It does not justify @MPSTowerHam's inept actions. Nor does it show the whole of an incident. But it does provide another fragment of context.

@HughJaeger @mariaalcoptia @brother667581 @MPSTowerHam The owner actually told the woman to shut up you f**** lunatic She lied and the dogs got shot.

[Scheherazade @ignitestrength]

@brother667581 @mariaalcoptia Spreading lies & misinformation, you weren’t there and this never ever happened.

@Makden591 @MPSTowerHam No, the dogs actually used to go to an outreach centre to help individuals that have social problems. Just because one person typed this on IG that’s evidence? There are lots of people on IG that have come into contact with these dogs and all have positive comments

[Scheherazade @ignitestrength]

@John_of_Ni @LouCliff2 @MPSTowerHam So are you for making such a ridiculous comment!

[Scheherazade @ignitestrength]

@UselessControl @MPSTowerHam Maybe if the police investigated it properly this wouldn’t of happened!

[Scheherazade @ignitestrength]

@UselessControl @MPSTowerHam 👏🏼 That’s why there was no actual dog attack on the woman!

[Scheherazade @ignitestrength]

@Tenawee1 @MPSTowerHam No! There wasn’t even an attack. The lady felt scared when she saw the 2 dogs and picked her small dog up, tripped and fell. No attack whatsoever.

[Scheherazade @ignitestrength]

@lionsroar67 @JT___30 @MPSTowerHam Dog handlers are professionally trained for a reason. Surprise surprise there was no attack on any woman!

@RealPriyanshu9 @BBCNews I will never bow to anyone! Lol

[Scheherazade @ignitestrength]

@Jon64266782 Im stating what I saw regarding the dogs being shot. Doesn’t mean I don’t have sympathy for the alleged lady who got attacked. Where’s that news?

[Scheherazade @ignitestrength]

@StockwellPri Should you be putting children’s faces online?
