You still have 8 hours to cook amazing meals, workout, learn a language and walk on the beach.

Still on the theory aspect, basically learning how to think in terms of designing a product that will meet the users needs and also the business goals.
Learning how to gather info about those that will eventually make use of the product. Asking relevant open ended questions.

Because being a product designer goes beyond creating a good UI or an easy to use product, it is also about the "feeling" you want to evoke from whomever the product is meant to serve.

Normalize not reaching out to someone who hasn't replied to a text or returned a call in hours or days. They know they haven't spoken to you, and it's simply because they don't want to.
