@foomanNZ @ericvhileman We couldn't fix new interfaces because of backwards compatibility, so we introduced new ones with better API. For the same reason we didn't add @api annotation. All extensions should continue to work.

@TravBern Actually, it's more like 60%. With plugin it takes ~5.3 min to install Magento Open Source, with out ~13.3 min. I will research what else can be optimized and share my findings.

@TravBern Do you use hirak/prestissimo composer plugin? It reduces time for composer create-project by 50-55%.

@TravBern This is what we do actually. We did poll in slack (btw, most people agreed that the right approach is to preserve old namespaces). But because we had small group of people we also decided do twitter poll. We also collect feedback on proposals and reach out to devs on conferences.

@mrloo @TravBern @fbeardev Polls is only one of the ways how we get feedback. And getting feedback is important for us. We also consider all of the options. Which sometimes scare people :-) One of the reasons for this is to have clarity on why we chose one option and not the other.
