I worked for a $4 hourly rate as a Web Developer.
Now, my freelancing brings me 5-figures per month.
Here are some of the lessons I learned along the way
@ijerkov@catalinmpit I even had el heating on for 7 months in 2 bathrooms, living room, hallway and 3 bedrooms.
Got a 2k EUR bill in September (was paying 30-ish EUR all months). It was great. Wouldn't recommend ๐
Once I get all papers done, will install solar panels.
@tibo_maker Good luck!
That's all I am going to say :D
Save every receipt, hire the right experts (word of mouth helps), and make sure to have an engineer looking at everything the whole time.
Made a mistake of not having one. Now fixing stuff I shouldn't be fixing for the next 30yrs.
@catalinmpit My el bill is now around 200EUR, was almost 400 EUR few months ago.
Disconnected floor heating and installed AC in the room (need it anyway for summer). And now, we even use dryer and washing machine 2x/day.
Crazy how much the floor heating costs.
Once I turned off the floor heating, my el. bill is now 100-150+ EUR lower.
It was a mistake getting it and would have 4k EUR more (could put all 7 ACs right away) :D
@ThePeterMick@cjaythecreator I used a different rotation ๐
Monday - shoulders/trapezius
Tuesday - biceps, triceps
Thursday - chest
Friday - legs
And 1,5h cardio except Friday.
Saturday - holding fences while going downstairs
@FlorinPop17@vaggelisdrak@marclou Free community would just create a community where everyone just links their app and 10% of it would be the ones that would make the community valuable.
And those 10% are actually those who'll pay to join this premium community, so, you get the same value but 0 noise :D
@FlorinPop17@vaggelisdrak@marclou Agree with the 1st part of this post.
But calling $300 peanuts... not really. Even you had to shut down your app at the beginning of this year because it didn't get enough revenue.
It's not peanuts if the app does not make enough.
Still, agree it's priced fairly.
@levelsio Importing a completely different, non-matching culture, from which people are not trying to assimilate, is what caused it.
Wouldn't be surprised if the majority of such aren't even working, but living on social welfare.
@teej_dv@trashh_dev@YumEarth Check also @UniversalYums.
Trash and Teej, you can both read about different countries once per month on the podcast and taste various sweets from that country.๐
Worked with some great devs there, led by @devinsays.
@tunguz OpenCode to manage Claude, Codex, OpenCode, and then some more again as needed with https://t.co/rIH24ixM6q from @aarondfrancis. Amazing tool that helped me get into this managing of AI managers.
