@MatrixMysteries I call it negative compounding and it isnt discussed enough. The problem is consumers are willing to agree to it. The seller has to charge what they charge to make a profit. I've made millions off lenders who got stiffed from people not paying their loans.
It should not even be called insurance. True insurance will reimburse you for expenses not dictate what the medical people charge and what they will accept for services. I had an MRI and cash price was $500 but thru insurance the facility would charge $1,500 to which it would go towards my deductible so my out of pocket would have been $1,500 instead of $500.
