@GlenIsOnline@thotfulwalrus In the last 5 years official police-recorded hate crime based on sexual orientation has increased by 20% and those based on trans identity have increased by 50%. You’re lucky if homophobia doesn’t feel “current” for you, for a lot of people it increasingly does.
@Ne15mag@ElliotElli58066 Adidas doesn’t give a shit about you. Look at the Juventus shirt for how they can do black and white stripes properly when they put the effort in. Don’t blame Sunderland because your shirt can double as a barcode for tinned beans at Tescos.
@SevenSeasSoBlue@chenahmi01@TeaLike69495@DreyfusJames the last 5 years official police-recorded hate crime based on sexual orientation has increased by 20% and those based on trans identity have increased by 50%. If you’re upset about a show depicting homophobia, blame the rise in homophobia in society.
@Paul___SW18@thotfulwalrus I’ve never personally seen a stabbing in London, that must mean nobody ever gets stabbed, right? In the last 5 years police recorded hate crime based on sexual orientation has increased by 20%. Those based on trans identity have increased by 50%.
@thotfulwalrus It’s not aimed at you, it’s aimed at the millions of straight people in the country that say that pride is no longer needed because gays have “equal rights”.
@Mizaru33@SensibleSAFC All you do is respond to Sunderland accounts on here. You’re just as obsessed as they are, if you weren’t you’d find something better to do with your time and energy.
@TeaLike69495@DreyfusJames The characters were neighbours for 15 years without any major animosity. The point of the show is to illustrate that in a culture where hate becomes normalised, seemingly normal people can become radicalised and turn on their neighbours. Look at 1930s Germany.
@TheSimonC90 The point of showing the end first is because it forces you to think of what everything going on is leading up to. It makes you realise that there’s no such thing as harmless prejudice and that it will snowball if you tolerate it.
