Why I’d Rather Remarry Than Pay Ransom If My Wife Was K+dnapped — Nigerian Man Sparks Debate
A Nigerian man has stirred reactions online after sharing his controversial views on k+dnapping and ransom payments, particularly when it involves a spouse.
Speaking in a viral street interview, the man stated that he would never pay ransom if k+dnappers abd¥cted any member of his family, including his wife.
“God forbid, but if they carry any of my family member, I no go pay ransom. If they carry my wife, I will not pay ransom. I will remarry,” he said.
He went further to explain that he would be unable to continue the marriage if his wife was sexually assaulted by her captors.
According to him, he could not accept being with a woman after another man had sl£pt with her, even if the act was forced.
“If bandits take advantage of my woman and f@rce themselves on her, I will not take that woman back. Please forgive me,” he added.

Court Orders INEC to Deregister Atiku’s Party, ADC, Four Others Ahead of 2027 Elections
A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to deregister the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and four other political parties over their poor electoral performance.
The affected parties are the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Action Peoples Party (APP), Action Alliance (AA), Accord Party (AP), and Zenith Labour Party (ZLP).
The court’s decision followed a suit filed by a group of former lawmakers who argued that the parties failed to meet the constitutional requirements for retaining their registration.
According to the plaintiffs, Section 225A of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) empowers INEC to deregister political parties that fail to secure at least 25 percent of votes in a state during a presidential election or win elective positions at the federal, state, or local government levels.
They maintained that the five parties did not meet the required electoral benchmarks in the 2023 general elections and subsequent by-elections, yet remained registered.
The group further argued that allowing the parties to continue operating despite their poor performance undermines the integrity of Nigeria’s electoral system and urged the court to compel INEC to act before preparations for the 2027 general elections intensify.
In his judgment, Justice Peter Lifu agreed with the plaintiffs’ submissions and directed INEC to deregister the five political parties.
The plaintiffs had also sought orders restraining the affected parties from conducting primaries, rallies, or participating in elections pending compliance with constitutional provisions.

Lady rescued after 4 years of being Chained and locked inside the house by her Brother Over a Business dispute
A woman was reportedly rescued from captivity in the Mpape area of Maitama Extension, Abuja, after allegedly being chained and locked inside a dark room by her brother for four years following a dispute over a cement business they started together.
According to an eyewitness account, the woman’s brother allegedly declared her mentally unstable and confined her in a room to prevent her from claiming her share of the business.
The situation came to light when a man fetching water near the compound heard unusual sounds coming from a locked room. Alarmed by what he heard, he alerted members of the community, who forced their way into the room and found the woman chained inside.
She was subsequently rescued and rushed to a hospital for medical attention, as she was unable to walk after years of alleged confinement.
The eyewitness further claimed that the woman’s daughter had gone missing and alleged that the brother was responsible for the child’s disappearance alleging that the child may have been used for ritual purposes. However, these claims remain unverified.
