Sometimes when analyzing problems it’s tough to organize our thoughts. We learned that Root Cause Analyses are for retroactive analysis of problems while Failure Mode and Effects Analysis is for gathering all data to prevent potential future problems.

The more vociferous the resistance to change, the more likely that the resistors can become an ally later. Resistance demonstrates enthusiasm. If people are resisting change, then they are invested. Convert their enthusiasm into a positive force.
When replicating an improvement project, have teams that implement changes, and a team that enables change. The latter will reduce the barriers for all the other teams, ensuring that they are not impeded by trivial issues.
One common problem when using scale and spread is that we forget to address the why and how. These are essential components for getting buy in from those who will be experiencing the systematic change.
