you all are doing exactly what should never happen after a tragedy like this: replacing the actual perpetrators with a convenient scapegoat.

the people responsible are the cyberbullies who chose to harass, threaten, mock, and dehumanize another human being. THEY are the ones who need to be held accountable for their own actions.

when this came to light, countless engenes REPORTED accounts, condemned the harassment, shared resources, and did what they could to help. let’s be real for a sec…nobody can stop abuse they don’t know is happening. pretending the entire fandom knew and allowed it is simply false.

and let’s stop pretending every account with an enhypen profile picture actually represents engenes or enhypen.
many of the people involved were solo stans, antis, or anonymous accounts using a fandom identity as a shield.

calling all engenes murderers doesn’t honor what happened. it doesn’t help anyone.

it doesn’t hold the right people accountable.

it only works in shifting the blame away from the individuals who were actively involved in the harassment. it protects them.

the fact that so many kind engenes are now afraid or ashamed to even call themselves engenes because of this disgusting generalization is heartbreaking.

if you genuinely care about justice, then direct your anger where it belongs. hold the cyberbullies accountable and stop condemning an entire fandom for crimes committed by individuals.
