🗣️ Cristiano Ronaldo: “I learned in life, often hungry and with nothing to eat, that no one gives anything to anyone.
I did for the country what I would never do for any club”. 🐐
I even love this your agenda...
That should tell you that Cristiano Ronaldo won't be the first player to walk away from the Portuguese national team in the face of disrespect
For your information, it was not even Ricardo Carvalho alone
Ricardo Carvalho and Tiago both walked out of the Portuguese camp in 2011 for a perceived disrespect by the coaching staff led by Paulo Bento
Carvalho was however banned from the national team while Mendes retired
Both players later returned in 2014 when Bento left and Fernando Santos took over
To your context, Cristiano Ronaldo is not demanding to start for Portugal
He was hugely disrespected by Jorge Jesus and he walked away
He already said it
"The day he sees he isn't needed in the national team, he will be the first to pack his bags and leave"
Your post is to malign CR7, but you just goofed
Instead of you to post and focus on Lionel Messi farewell, you are posting About CR7
You are so obsessed with Cristiano Ronaldo
“When I received the news of my father’s death. I was at a training camp with our national team and I decided right then to stay until the next day’s game was over. I did that for my country, something I would never do for any club.”
Yet Portuguese people disrespect this man 💔
“I reaffirmed that if they did not want me there they should tell me. It was enough for them to be frank with me. I would accept that and I promised that we would prepare something beautiful, as I dream will happen, and no one would be left angry.
I remember it as if it were today. They replied in unison that no. That my place was in the National Team.”
If you’re still going against Ronaldo, you’re an evil person.
God! This Ronaldo’s exposé is crazy; so Cristiano Ronaldo and the coach had actually agreed he won’t play against Norway only for the coach to literally tell him to warm up for nothing?
Secondly, Cristiano literally wanted to retire after WC only for his President & Manager to bug him into staying?
I keep saying it, loyalty is Cristiano’s biggest problem. Should have insisted on NO!
They won this same competition last year, with Ronaldo finishing as the team’s top scorer with 8 goals in 9 games.
He scored in the semi-final against Germany and in the final against Spain.
They better win the Nations League without him next year o. No long talks.
This is why as a footballer you need to leave when the applause is at the loudest.
Portugal had 39% possession during this game but this mad man still found a way to get them a draw.
You won’t believe what they’re saying about him now.
“He would argue with me, Cristiano, Casemiro and Rashford”
But Cristiano spoke out and became the bad person. This was the same coach Manchester United fans hated Ronaldo for. Lol.
Everything he said on that Piers Morgan interview is what Fred just summarized now.
I expect more truths in the future. 👏

This is why I think people are missing the real issue. It was never simply about Ronaldo being benched or Ronaldo's Ego.
Ronaldo had already considered leaving Portugal after the World Cup. He stayed after speaking with the FPF president and Jorge Jesus because both made it clear they still valued what he could contribute to the NT.
Then came the confusion over his role, the Norway situation, and finally Jorge Jesus’ press conference. What seems to have angered Ronaldo most was not the tactical decision itself, but the way the situation was presented publicly especially when Jesus appeared to frame it as though Ronaldo was demanding control over the team, rather than acknowledging the confusion created around the agreed plan.
And that distinction matters.
Ronaldo has never said he must start every game. He has repeatedly said that when Portugal no longer needs him, he will leave.
If the coach wants to manage him differently, fine. That is the coach’s job. But then be straight with him. Don’t ask him to stay, tell him he is still valuable, give him one understanding of his role and then publicly present the fallout as though the problem is Ronaldo’s ego.
And there is another part of this conversation people conveniently ignore: Ronaldo’s enormous commercial value to Portugal.
Portuguese marketing experts have explicitly warned that Ronaldo’s departure would cost the FPF significant media attention and revenue. One IPAM executive said Ronaldo has been responsible for helping the federation secure numerous sponsorship deals and generate substantial revenue for more than 20 years.
The numbers show just how extraordinary his global reach is. During the 2026 World Cup, a study by Nossa Sports and Felton estimated Ronaldo’s 29 social-media posts generated €85.2m in economic audience value, compared with €68.1m from 565 posts by the Portuguese national team. Another analysis estimated Ronaldo accounted for 54% of the total economic audience value despite producing just 0.7% of the content analysed.
