@joe_unravel@NDIUKCommunity How the hell did you type this rubbish. The Canada you stay, how much do their citizens abroad renew their passport and exactly how stressful and how long does it take. Instead of you to condemn their failure your are supporting day light robbery.
Calling me names only exposes your lack of character. First, I’m a woman. Second, I pity anyone who marries someone incapable of disagreeing without becoming abusive your response is a red flag.
Paying rent, bride price and feeding your children are basic responsibilities, not extraordinary achievements or a licence to cheat. Many married women do all three. Educate yourself and stop spreading ignorance online.
@jon_d_doe Make sure you say your last prayer sha! Because that sort of woman existed in the 18th century.
Hope as a man if your wife cheats you will be doing the same. Asking for I and 99 others that really want matured response!!!
@Nigeriangod_ One oga said they should cook, kneel serve him and smile at him and everything will be fine. See you see hiv, cervical cancer, herpes and hypertitis...
@nigimmigration if the self-service system actually worked, would anyone need your “intervention” in the first place?
I’m particularly annoyed because I recently helped an elderly woman renew her British passport online, and from start to payment it took less than 4 minutes.
So imagine my relief when I thought I wouldn’t need to travel to London or go through unnecessary stress to renew my Nigerian passport. I got to 60% of the online capture process and it simply stopped working.
Because people complain that applicants are stressed and things should be organised properly from the onset, and somehow that becomes the problem?
I’ve already paid about £230. Add another £70 and that is roughly £300 per person. For a family of four, that is £1,200 just to renew passports.
@BTOofficial How is this acceptable?
At a time when Nigerians abroad are already paying so much to renew a passport, why must the process also be this stressful and disorganised?
At what point do we stop normalising poor service simply because “this is Nigeria”? And why do Nigerians seem to accept from our own institutions what we would never tolerate anywhere else?
The internet has given too many people the confidence to package bad values, horrible advice and personal dysfunction as “wisdom” simply because they have a large following.
And sadly, many people consume it hook, line and sinker without using any discretion.
Having followers does not make you right. Influence without responsibility is dangerous.
When did having a large following become proof that someone knows what they’re talking about?
Why should I??? Asking women to tolerate mens indiscipline but I can't respond?
Women are not subhuman. They deserve the same dignity, respect and freedom of choice as men.
Don't worry, I don't come around much and don't have the time for all the back and forth. But I really want to believe all your tweets today are just cruise...
@DigitalEmman@jon_d_doe I don’t support checking phones just to catch a cheating partner. But sometimes it’s not trust issues, it’s safeguarding. The earlier you know, the earlier you can act or make your plans.
Women, stop following every relationship rule on the internet like gospel. Don’t check his phone, trust him blindly and give him privacy.
Meanwhile, some women are being exposed to HIV and other diseases by the same men they were told to “trust.” Others have discovered affairs, secret families and even dangerous plots involving side chicks.
Privacy is not secrecy, and blind trust is not wisdom.
You don’t have to become the victim before you learn the lesson. Other people’s experiences should be enough warning.
As long as you know what your husband does legitimately for a living.
He meets up to his responsibilities.
He's a present father and husband.
He's kind to you and even to your extended family.
And you have been married for at least 5 years.
If you are still snooping on his phones and monitoring his movements, you want to cheat, or you want to look for evidence to justify your cheating.
End.
Living in the diaspora or not shouldn’t determine whether you have values, discipline and self respect. I was born and raised in Nigeria, so was my husband. We dated and married there.
If more women were financially independent and stopped relying entirely on men to carry their responsibilities, many would tolerate far less disrespect.
And yes, men cheat abroad too, which brings me back to my original point, people have different deal breakers.
Our bigger problem is that we’ve spent too long excusing bad behaviour. There’s always a justification, an excuse, or someone saying, “That’s just how people are or all men cheat''
That mindset is partly why morality keeps declining in our society. If we keep normalising what we know is wrong because “everyone does it,” where exactly do we draw the line?
We can do better as a people.
