Kural 25 directly refers to "Indra".
The reference அடியளந்தான் is the Vamana avatar of Mahavishnu.
It is a wilful negation of the very text to claim that Kural has nothing to do with Hinduism.

HUGE 🚨 Supreme Court slams Sabarimala PIL & Indian Young Lawyers Association.
Justice Aravind Kumar : Who is your President?
IYLA : Naushad Ali
IYLA : Milord, we are not challenging the faith of Lord Ayyappa’s devotees, but upholding it
Justice Nagarathna 🔥🔥 : "Mind your buisness. How does a juristic body like yours have a belief? This is for an individual. You don't have a conscience"
CJI : Why have you filed this PIL at all? Are you the chief priest of the country?
SC : This PIL is a clear abuse of process of law.
Justice Nagarathna ⚡ : This is Paisa Interest Litigation. Does Young Lawyers Association have no other business?
CJI : Supreme Court should have thrown the association’s PIL into the dustbin.
Days after DMK MLA Thiru Udhayanidhi Stalin spoke about eradicating Sanathana Hindu Dharma on the floor of the legislative assembly, TVK MLA Thiru VMS Mustafa came in support of Thiru Udhayanidhi Stalin’s remarks. Not only is this very unfortunate but also it shows the level of hatred they harbour in their minds towards an eternal Dharma that helps us to lead a meaningful life!
DMK & TVK, in their very short history, have proven to the people that they are two sides of the same coin. DMK has forgotten what their constant attack on Sanathana Hindu Dharma has brought them to. TVK will also soon remember.
If either DMK or TVK had the courage of conviction, they should have openly declared during their election campaigns that targeting Sanathana Hindu Dharma would be central to their politics. Instead, they hid behind secularism & theatrics, only to reveal their true intentions after seeking votes from the very people whose faith they now insult with arrogance and impunity.
Please be reminded, Sanathana Hindu Dharma is not your punching bag! I sincerely hope their remarks will not go unpunished by our people.
As a boy in the 1970s, I remember seeing abandoned overhead water tanks and the like in villages. Many are still there, slowly rotting away, even as new infrastructure gets built. Reason? There was no local involvement in the creation and maintenance of this infrastructure.
Today, we still see irrigation ponds being poorly unmaintained in villages. They used to be maintained at the village level (every village would have an irrigation committee and a head) and the state Public Works Department took them over (in the 1970s) and destroyed the existing local institutions. That is when they started to deteriorate.
Our Panchayati Raj reforms did not go all the way. We have to strengthen these institutions substantially at the panchayat, mandal (panchayat union) and district level.
In a similar way, Hindu temples, once they were taken over by the state government HR&CE, started to deteriorate. Today, in most cases, local devotees fund their upkeep or renovations, and the state HR&CE department works as a "write letters to local wealthy people to ask for help" agency (and that is the good part).
The only solution in every case is to hand control of these to local institutions.
We need to build real governance capacity at the village, town and district level. Just as lack of exercise destroys muscles, our governance capacity degrades when unused. That has bad consequences because when we neglect village/town level governance, we don't develop an organic talent pool of governance-capable people to draw upon at the state or central levels.
The IAS is administrative machinery, not an organic governance or policy making enabler. The machine needs capable drivers. It is that capability we must build organically.
Our districts are more populous than small nations like Estonia. Pondicherry and Goa, small states with about the same population or even less than that of Tenkasi, get far better focused governance, so we already have a model of this within our nation.
When we push responsibility down, local capability grows. This is the same principle behind scaling companies as well.
Unless we push governance responsibility down to the village and district level, we cannot truly unlock the capability and potential of our people.
I call this the District Driven Development model.
In my personal capacity, I have set myself the goal of contributing to the holistic development of at least one rural district in my life time, hopefully 3 or 4.
Bharat Mata ki Jai 🙏
In Tamil Nadu, the BJP being in power at the centre has been used by essentially all the parties to demonize them. The DMK made "attack Modi" as their only plank. EdappadiDMK (that is the correct name) would have done the same thing if the Congress had switched over to them. In Tamil, we call this பூச்சாண்டி காட்டுதல் - like my grandmother would tell me as a kid "that tree next to the pond has a ghost that will catch you, so don't go near it" to keep me away from swimming in the pond! Modi is their favorite பூச்சாண்டி.
So when someone parrots the line "we want to keep the BJP out of Tamil Nadu", they are saying "we don't want competition for our cozy duopoly", not some deep principle. The BJP has been in alliance in AP and Pondicherry and those states are doing fine, they are making excellent progress. Yet TN is supposedly "different".
The "difference" was the BJP getting into alliance with these same parties (EDMK or DMK) that want to openly or secretly suppress them in TN.
What is the way ahead? Find good youthful passionate leadership that are willing to fight the good fight long term. Focus on building up the party from the grassroots. Ignore all the பூச்சாண்டி business. Do not align with anyone who claims "TN is different". TN is Bharat. We have to fight this subterranean separatism.
Annamalai was making progress but he needed a lot more time. He was creating a genuine political movement, he invited youth to be active in politics and he had massive engagement.
I would have volunteered for this assignment too (I love building up from zero!) but I am neck deep in tech and Bharat needs deep tech. So not in this life time. To be very clear, I will state my political views (my right to free speech) but I will not be in active politics.
I hope all our educated citizens do engage in this political debate and express their opinions, but let us all do it RESPECTFULLY.
A US-based missionary ministry openly calling Vijay’s political rise a “prophecy” and framing it as “God’s plan” raises serious questions.
Is there a larger church-backed narrative and funding ecosystem operating quietly in the background of Tamil Nadu politics? 🤔
It is shameful to see people waving Pakistani flags in Kerala during a Congress victory celebration.
While the whole country remembers the bravery of our soldiers in Operation Sindoor, these traitors are celebrating an enemy nation.
This anti-national act on Indian soil is a slap to our martyrs. Strict action must be taken against those showing loyalty to Pakistan.
