IIT (BHU) names the main library in honor of Sh. Shreenivas Deshpande, a 1948 alumnus.
The Main Library naming ceremony was held on June 24th, 2022. This was made possible through gift of USD 1 Million to the IIT (BHU) Foundation by Sh. Desh Deshpande and Smt. Jaishree Deshpande.

The IIT (BHU) Foundation, an association of IIT (BHU) alumni, announced that it has received a generous benefaction of $1M from Drs. Desh and Jaishree Deshpande.
The institute will name the library in honor of his father, Sh. Shreenivas Deshpande, a 1948 graduate.

The IIT (BHU) Foundation, a U.S.-based all volunteer, non-profit association of IIT (BHU) alumni, announced the recipients of IIT (BHU) Foundation Scholarship.
This means-based scholarship is the result of the generous US $2 million donation from Nikesh Arora (EEE'89) .
